Liverpool will no doubt be spending well over the odds on wages for Ings and Milner. Everyone knows they're desperate. Milner's on well over 100K p.w. at Citeh. But by jove, i'd love to see him as a Stoke player, he's perfect for us.

Put Milner in our, southampton and probably even Spurs team and he'd be a star player, but he's not quite top level ability which is why he's only a squad player at Man City. But the Money Man City are able to offer him means we can't compete for his signature. Liverpool is probably his best suitors right now, but he's not really what Liverpool should be aiming for. They need some big iconic signings to challenge the top.

Plenty of potential about if you've got a good scouting network.

I find it quite funny how a once great and they were top, top European side are now looking at such players like Ings on a freebie??
He's good\average at best but that's about it, would I swop him for Diouff, not a chance.
I can honestly see Liverpool finishing around 10\12 next season at a push, sinking ship going down rather quickly.

I thought the post by the OP was a play on words ala "Next WEE" hence "Pisser" but it seems to have got serious!

Would he have been a shit signing for us? In comparison to Diouf yes Why is that? He's a young decent striker who will score goals given the chance.

Bang over rated, he comes across really arrogant too, he thinks he's a lot better than he actually is.

Hes ok and at 22 has time on his side. Just because he is a Free Transfer from a non sexy club like Burnley doesnt make him a bad prospect.
He only scored 11 in the Premier League but that was in a Burnley side that couldnt score for toffee and based their season on a solid defence and trying to knick one of the break.
I think people are discounting him too soon. He aint no Luis Suarez but then not many strikers are.

I think he looks like a decent prospect
scored a good number of goals in a struggling side, who generally were defensive

Bashing young English prospects just because they've signed for a big team.
It's very typical behaviour of football fans in this country at the moment, moan that we have a shit national team but then right off any youngster that is given the chance and signs for a big team.
They could spend 50m on a foreign striker that wouldn't guarantee them anymore success than signing Ings and clubs should be praised for taking a chance on homegrown talent in my opinion.

He looks a decent player and scored goals with a poor team. Given chances he will score more. I would have him here, but don't he will get much game time which he needs at 22

Burnley fan on Talk Shite said he rated Austin a better goal scorer .Also so said all the goals he got in the champ where down to crosses by Trippier and said he would be more upset if they lost Trippier.
