According to Squawka, Cattermole has created less chances than Whelan this season... Less than zero? 19 to 12.

Whelan? I'd go 5ft 10" if I was feeling generous. And he's not renowned for his heading prowess is he? Crouch and KJ have took that role before, there was no way Whelan should have been doing it. Diouf makes way more sense, he's got a heck of a leap on him. My mate, far right, is 6ft 2. Maybe Glennda has shrunk in the last few years? I'm 5ft 10. I think you're being overly generous! Wiki says he's 5ft 11" dunno where that's from mind.

That's right mate, when all else fails, find the vaguest indicator you can and compare apples with oranges.

Apparently I'm allowed to say stats don't count now.

And more than Geoff Cameron! Ones a midfielder. The others a right back. Which bit are you struggling with?

That's right mate, when all else fails, find the vaguest indicator you can and compare apples with oranges. Stats only count when it suits? It depends, is the answer. If you're debating who creates more chances, I'd suggest a 'chances created' stat is a pretty useful indicator. If you're using an vaguely defined 'key passes' stat to compare a full back and a defensive midfielder for reasons that aren't clear, not so much...

Talking of comparing the two right backs, it's pretty clear which one has won the fight to be first choice.
The one that played yesterday in our best performance in decades.

You're worse than a politcian at avoiding questions. Bring something in, make out like you never did and then bitch. Fantastic stuff! But on to Geoff......he stuck out like a sore thumb yesterday, bloody awful!

Not answering questions?
Does that apply to all those who were flogging the "Phil is better than Geoff" bollocks for months on end? The daft cunts.
Cameron made it clear he didn't want to play right back 12 months ago so Hughes tred to replace him. And failed.
He's managed to see off Bardsley, performing at about 50% at times.
It looks like Geoff has had a change of heart, which is good for us, and he finishes the season as first choice right back with a new contract as a reward.
Argue all you like but the facts speak for themselves.

Again, it's a pretty simple concept. Where will it leave Geoff though if we do that? Second choice right back, 5th choice CB, 5th choice CM. I think we might start with these pair contending for right back next season which is a horrible thought.

When we signed Bardsley people were saying we didn't need Geoff anymore. They said the same about Crouch and Walters when we made other signings. It's a squad game, not just 11 players.

It is a squad game and we have a pretty massive one! People (not you) suggesting we can afford 3 front line right backs, I think that's fucking madness. If Bardsley doesn't go I just can't see how MH can justify a right back and we do need one. Because the attacking play from Bardsley and Cameron is poor at best. It's a massive area we can improve on.

The fact Geoff has been first choice for the run in, and been given a new contract, suggests that Hughes may look to move Bardsley on.

He should get a contract, I like his as a player, I just don't think he did all that well yesterday. As someone put before, his passing is often shocking (and it was on many occasions yesterday), and he gets caught out a lot.

I'm typically one of Geoffs staunchest supporters on here, but even I have to admit when he is shit. And yesterday, I'm sorry to say, the poor boy was absolute shit.
