I don't blame you either ,....I've just been googling Tractors prices .... Forgot to mention he has two tractors. Just imagine all those slaves working away from 7am until sunset eating their spam sandwich during their ten minute lunch break and comparing steel toe-capped boots just to pay for those Massey Ferguson beauties Why doesn't he get the cheap and cheerful labour to pull the plough ? Must be cheaper than a tractor

How the flying fuck would you know about his business ethics and that he has a choice to pay more than the NMW you ignorant man! I have already told you that he and many other food producers are up against the supermarkets so have to keep costs down. My son in law is not a millionaire far from it and it's him who takes the risks of investing in his crops, running the risk of poor yield if the weather is bad. yes he did loose most of his crops three years ago.....tomatoes, late strawberries, potatoes, beans, onions and more. But I know ......let's pay everybody in farming £12 and hour regardless of workload, doesn't matter that businesses and jobs will go to the wall because hey this is the utopian socialist ideal everybody earning the same. You need to get into the real world mate instead of your socialist glass house. Because he pays the lowest crap wages he can get away with like the rest of them do . How many acres did he inherit ? He must be the only person in the county in his line of business who 's not a millionaire ! Edit : Make that 'country' How much did his last tractor cost ? Let's see who's ignorant now eh ? I wonder how many hours of slave labour does it take to buy an £80,000 tractor .? Please see my signature at the bottom for details The problem is mumf you are a walking talking contradiction , farming is by its nature is seasonal , unlimited overtime in season ? . What's wrong with that . I did potato picking as a kid with all the village women . It is what it is SEASONAL . you complain about exploitation of foreign labour whilst at the same time loathing there being here . You complain about low pay in the farming sector whilst at the same time singing the praises of cheap supermarkets like ALDI & PRIMARK who benefit enormously from cheap labour both here and the third world . SORT OUT YOUR BULLSHIT

Here's a sight of the future PM and imminent leader of the opposition clashing, with the future leader of the opposition having his arse handed to him and turning into a rambling twitchy idiot. The last exchange is just embarrassing. He knows he's been made to look a fool and is desperate to try to have the last word! www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2015-32471755For once I agree with Luke. I can see boris as a future PM and once again ed will be leader of the opposition If you genuinely think those two will happen you know even less about politics than is already obvious! Miliband will be PM or resign. If PM, he may be up against Bojo if he wins the leadership election against Osborne, May and Gove but any which way your prediction is useless!

There has been some exploitation though and this needs to be cracked down on.

SORT OUT YOUR BULLSHIT Let me explain things .....Zero hours is not 'seasonal' Personally , I wouldn't allow unskilled foreign workers into the country to do manual jobs that our dole queue could do ......but in saying that , I would still pay them a living wage. The minimum wage is an insult to poverty campaigners . Most of Aldis products and food is sourced abroad and their wages in general terms are somewhat lower so therefore it is not of my particular concern or interest . It is for European unions and governments to sort out their own BULLSHIT as you put it .... I was not aware Primark was a supermarket ...... www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates

However I doubt if half of Labour MPs own acres of arable farms where labour is exploited in this way . Infact I can't think of any ....but if you do then let me know.

He's a bullying tw@t without innate power. Remember what he was like in the run-up to the last election. Green, tree/hoodie-hugging Dave, Who had the Tory emblem changed to a swishy tree to highlight their newfound green credentials. What a load of bu!!$#!t that was, cause what happened when he was given the reigns, he turned into the sneering bullying cnut that he is, but now he's on the back-foot, his bottle has gone. The seasonal "temps" used to break the back of the work(grass cutting)and quite often worked harder than the permanent staff. Every season's end ;we would be fucked off while several of the regulars continued to have months on the sick(much of it on full pay) every year. This was a Labour council; a LABOUR COUNCIL!!

A bag of shit .... You are perfectly correct about zero hours contracts , they are appalling . I never used them at all in my small business simply because they would have worked against me in many ways . I paid my staff very well because it was good for business . The example you try to use IE farming , is one of the few examples where they are entirely appropriate

Does that make him a keyboard warrior A rebel without a clue Well that makes two of us because you have just agreed with me in your previous post . When any business pays the absolute minimum wage then you know what type of business and businessman you are dealing with . No profit margin is that fine that it is essential to pay the least you can get away with . If the minimum wage went up tomorrow by another 50 pence then it would be paid . When you have dealt with people's finances in agricultural industries over a number of years then you have a very good idea what you are dealing with . Different types of farms and different areas have very different profit margins according to what they do and the quality of land etc....even the type of soil . It may not be what our Conservative band of brothers would like to hear , but it is true . Whilst I agree that farming is a seasonal type of industry , I do not accept that it has to follow the practise of zero hours contracts . Indeed many farmers still prefer to rely on friends and family on a casual basis to help them at harvest time . I myself have done this many times. As a business I have also been brought in to look after both domestic and farm animals too , which was quite interesting and rewarding . So draw your own conclusions . Many already know this to be true , whilst others may still feel frustrated and aggrieved . I admire Lawries honesty , but he may have vastly under estimated my experience on the subject from both a financial and practical level. You don't last a week in this type of environment if you don't have a clue , Infact you aren't even offered the work . I am no salesman . I do not advertise . I don't need to .

I painted myself as being old fashioned yesterday in a heated exchange with what should be my daughter in law, however because of a total breakdown in morals in this country (MY OPPINION) women now take the decision to get themselves pregnant by the first idiot that comes along, and the next, and the next, and the next. We all know it but who dares to stop it. It is a FAR BIGGER problem than immigration but no one dares to raise it.
In my day the saying was "You don't get the thing , 'till I get the ring" You had children after you had got married and were already living together after considering weather you could afford them. Now I realise we will never get this country back to being a Christian society, but having children outside of a stable relationship has been an utter disaster for this country and the biggest losers have been the children.
We must limit child benefit to 2 children only and it MUST be means tested, we MUST stop giving houses to single mother which we are still doing, my new neighbour is a single mother. People need to ask that question again "Can we afford another child" not let's have more kids so we get more money and don't have to go back to work.
Hard subject to deal with but it is at the heart of society's problems the laws that need to be passed may have us looking like draconian Nazis, but if we fail to address it this country is doomed to disaster.

Minimum wage isn't really the issue , it's a miserable way to make ends meet I admit . The bigger problem is our economy is now overwhelmingly a service sector one . There is a lack of opportunity for people to find well payed skilled jobs , a lack of training places for young people . Our fantastic apprenticeship system most young people had access too when I left school in the 60s was allowed to wither away . Whist at the same time we have a skill shortage in this country. You need a degree now as a minimum requirement for some retail positions .

Milliband is a disgusting fuckwit who sounds like he's talking through his arse. God help the country if this prick gets in power. Some people have short memories and have already forgotten the total mess the cunts left the country in the last time we trusted them to run the country. They shouldn't be trusted to organise a piss up in a brewery, never mind run the country. Gouranga. I think you need to watch the video . If after watching it you come to the same conclusion then there are a number of consultant psychiatrists I can recommend. Boris is a complete idiot . I would rather vote UKIP than cast my vote in his direction. As for short memories ....we had a decade of growth under the last government . You need treating for amnesia . Gouranga . A decade of growth, but they were in for 13 years You say growth but they came into office with surplus in the bank, which is a good way to start, and left us with the biggest ever peacetime debt. Unfortunately they increased government debt (different to overall debt) based on an unstable boom instead of saving for a rainy day, as well as selling off the gold reserves at the lowest price possible. The government debt was probably to offset the massive loss in manufacturing, something you didn't respond to a couple of weeks ago when the figures were put forward ...
