Clearly, I'm not a Stoke fan, but you have a good owner and manager. If Southampton can be hovering around the top 4, why can't Stoke in a couple of seasons? There you go you that's what makes you a real Man U fan. I'd bet my mortgage you think Southampton's success is down to Pochettino and now Koeman and the immediate millions spent. Southampton's club was rebuilt from the academy up. We may have been in the Prem longer, but academy wise we're still miles behind. The club has made these steps but it will take time. As a Stoke fan, I'm happy to carry on watching no matter how long it takes, and won't be calling for Mark Hughes to be 'beheaded' on the centre spot!! You say Mau U should be expecting the title and trophies, well so you should. So why did you not give Moyes time?? Why are you booing Van Gaal now?? Why don't you have patience, build from academy up and spend cash, as Ferguson did? Rather than spend more money than Man City. You've been hypocritically slagging them off City with. P.S. Why did you stop the Green and Gold bollocks? Was it because you won the title only because of Ferguson's genius and started blowing cash again? So you wern't really bothered about debt after all. Just bothered you may not be able to buy another title just like City. Why are you posting, where you think I am the one making decisions at United and where did I say Southampton's success was all about money? When I post that Stoke has the potential to fight for the top 4 in a few seasons (which isn't a bad thing to say), why is your post almost exclusively about United?

We may continue to get top half finishes in the next few years but it's a massive step up to get into that top 4. It is a massive step, but if Southampton can get close, I think Stoke can too. In fact, I think any team with a good owner and manager can, especially now with the TV revenue for all clubs and the FFP having an impact. That additional money means the top clubs can buy top class players, but so can other Premier league clubs now and you can only field 11 players, so the gap between talent on the pitch should get tighter as Chelsea spend 80 million on a striker and a team like Stoke will have TV income to spend maybe 15 - 30 million on a striker that's about as good as what Chelsea overspent to get. All Premier league teams will have the funds to pretty much buy the best players from around the world, instead of a few big clubs at the top and 3 or 4 other European clubs like RM, Barcelona, PSG etc. The wealth of the top 3 or 4 teams will be less important and how the club is run and the team managed, will be more important.

To an extent. TV money goes up for everyone but other revenue stream still have an impact. Also, players offered the same money would still opt for the bigger club. - Match day revenue is much more at clubs like United and Arsenal (I think Arsenal get in two games what we make in a season). - Sponsorship revenue - Merchandising revenue - Champions League revenue - Premier League prize money revenue

The FFP means Chelsea can't buy everyone and sit them on the bench any more and where players want to move to big clubs for the money and the Champions league, some players won't want to go to places like Chelsea, knowing they're going to be on the bench for most of the season, or players will go to Chelsea and after a year, want a move for the same reason. The increased revenue for big clubs means more profit, or higher wage bills. For smaller clubs, it means a bigger pool of world class players they can afford.

Come on admit it. Part of you wants to Stoke to win when we play United doesn't it? Sooner or later you'll turn to the red and white side.

I shoot for a 1-0 United win, but feel bad for Stoke when they do. The minimum goal difference and a clean sheet for United is the best outcome. If they draw, it's OK, no harm done. If Stoke win, then it's bad because United lost, but at least Stoke won. I'm a bit schizophrenic really, when United lose to Stoke. I suppose, if they are going to lose, I'd rather they lose to Stoke than any other team.

So much aggravation from fans on here, it's quite petulant really. As difficult as it is to believe, clubs like United do have fans outside of the 90's success and tourist realms. The bloke clearly is a fan just like you and I.

Bloody hell some on here can't take criticism very well! The OP has a point. This board can be mental at times (partly why I love it so much). Can be hundreds of us online spunking over our keyboards one week and then after one or two abject performances it's best to avoid the page completely for a couple of days as anybody would think that Mark Hughes and the lads had come round and pissed on your Christmas Dinners! Oatcake users are generally a bunch of mad bastards, and although I love you all, I wouldn't like to be stuck in a lift with half of you

Whats the cartoon guys name in the oatcake fanzine that's a glory hunter...............Norman someone?!?!
