What is needed is a solid central defender partnership. It has been our key to staying in thus league and it needs addressing this summer :-) if They don't like if HUTH 'em

We shouldn't have got rid of him. Huth is a great cb and should be playing in our first team instead of Leicesters

Huth is a legend in my book, but it's time to let him go. He's no longer good enough for the first team, he probably doesn't want to be in a squad where he's not even guaranteed a spot on the bench, and even if he is the wages are too high for us to keep him for that purpose.

The team went instantly to being top ten contenders when Wilson played instead of Huth.
If that isn't proof our obsession with 'proper defenders' was holding us back then I don't know what is.
Ryan's passing is underated, you only have to look at some of his diagonal balls to Arnie last season. It is vital at this level that you keep the ball well, unless you want to watch a team stifle all life out the game every week. Being a bit easier to score against (and it is only a bit, look at the stats) is a small price to pay for looking like a proper football team and finishing higher in the league.

That's a very good point. People seem happy to slate the club for letting him put on loan, but saving 45000 a week for the rest of the season is not to be sniffed at!

I know as every game he has played in the past 18 months he could not train after for 3 days while his knee settled down, similar to Walters. It's all about managing the situation. Huth's knee is slightly worse than Walters and needs game time to see if it is something that will only get worse, and sending him out on loan to get games that won't impact on the amount of points Stoke get is the only way, if by some miracle Huth's knee proves it can be managed and can play week in week out then he will be back in contention next season. If not then the loan for Wollschied will be made permanent and Huth will move on That's not true . Have you got any evidence to say that what slpmarc says is not true? What he is saying certainly seems to make sense and it wouldn't be the first time that a knee injury has prevented a senior player from training for a few days after each game. Huth's situation seems to be very like the one which Ledley King found himself in at Spurs. The chronic nature of his injury eventually brought his career to a premature end - a great pity because he was a great cb/defensive midfielder for club and country before his injury problems. Hopefully Huth's problems will clear up - but I wouldn't like to put money on it.

Has he got any evidence to confirm that RH has a chronic ,well documented, knee problem like Ledley King.Do you genuinely believe LCFC would sign a loan contract to pay substantial wages for a player with that type of problem ? Where have you got the idea that he has a chronic problem ....because someone posted it ..at no point has Hughes or anyone indicated there is an issue .He had a calf strain in October months after his rehab and pre season was finished. He did the full pre season without any issues. You should be asking slpmarc not me I am just applying common sense.

We have conceded 3 more goals in season 2012-13, huth last season playing 26 games, so not too bad

This partnership is finished by letting Huth go out on loan was putting him in the shop window. He as played his last game for Stoke you only have to ask yourself this if Shawcross was coming back from injury do you honestly reckon Stoke would send him out on loan I dont think so, and bringing in another centre back proves that Stoke are looking in another direction just lets hope we dont lose our bite now we are Huthless.

I love Huth BUT for me Shawcross and Muni as a pairing for the future. Moving forward it suits the style that Les and his team are transforming the club towards. He is too good to sit on the bench for Stoke, plus if we are to continue to evolve then the gap between his natural playing attributes and style to those that are required from our more distributive style will only widen.
For me HUTH is a modern day Legend. Nothing short of one of our most influential players from our Prem Years. It may be time to move on.

Just met up with the Huthmeister himself in Alderley Edge. Bit of a double take and had to ask him if my wife was cock or no cock. Nien cock was the answer so passed the test... Took me 3 hours to question how he guessed it correctly?
Anyway....he's got great memories of scfc and were laughing about when his kids thought we were booing him when his name was called out on the team sheet! Talked about the FA cup semi final and second goal and I officially bestowed that he is/was a legend! Took it with humbleness you'd expect from Huthmeister.
Say LEICESTER aren't play tomorrow but he's not going the match v Hull. Seemed a bit upset by whole affair!
