Early days I know but they aren't inspiring me with confidence when playing together.Wollschild was better when we played Leicester as the player attacking the ball.

Centre back partnerships are crucial. Hopefully just needs time although it may be these two are not a natural pair?

Phillips running style really worries me. I've never seen a really top class player run like he does,so by that rationale he won't turn out to be much good.

This is how it works. Wollscheid played ok(ish) at the arse = he's shit, he played well at Leicester = he's the next shawcross, he has a ok game against Rochdale = he's shit again.

I see the problem in the midfielders, whelan and nzonzi are letting them very easy to make pass on the back of the centerbacks

The guy above was talking about the last few weeks...After the Arsenal game people were saying he was shit and after the Leicester game they were saying he was brilliant...that's what was being referred too

I think Wollscheid has been fine again tonight.
He's very composed in possession but can defend as well.

If any of you are expecting Wollscheid to be the next Huth then sadly you are pissing in the wind. He is more like Mertesacker in his style of play. Certainly not a blood and thunder centre half.

I have been impressed with him since he joined, not blown away, but he looks a very good addition.

Center backs getting a lot of stick for being slow on the turn when the midfield the entire first half were ball watching, Hughe's HT sub was no fluke because of injury... Nzonzi and Whelan were turgid the last 15 minutes not challenging for anything.

Thought Wollschield had a good game and looked composed on the ball for the main part.
Don't get why he's getting criticism

Feel a bit sorry for muni as he was filling that CB position quite well.

It was tough for Wollscheid when he had a 10% fit Shawcross beside him.
