Come on mate, that's not a fair reflection on Bojan, he's shown he has the mindset to overcome setbacks. Let's not forget a lot on here thought he was shot after Leicester at home. Things like this happen though... a player who was out of form for a few years, goes to a new club and starts doing well, fans absolutely love him and then he picks up an injury which rules him out for the season. It will definitely be tough for him now.

What's the estimated recovery time for an ACL injury? Muniesa apparently did his pre-season and missed 'most of the season' which indicates he at least featured. Hopefully we'll see him Oct/Nov time.

At least we'll hold on to him next season as he will now be out of the spotlight. We need to get busy in this window, even though Bojan is irreplaceable We need to get rid of him now. I'm sorry. Obviously we can't until at least this time next year but he is useless to us now, and he will never recapture his form. It'll be a different team in a years' time, he'll be starting from scratch having been out of the game for a year. Get rid, get someone else.

Shows what a popular figure he is here when our other players are posting public Twitter messages of support.
This news has put a downer on the whole club, not just us fans.

With respect, that's a lot of nonsense and it isn't the first time that opinion has been offered today. Medical advancements means that players at the very top level recover from this injury very successfully and at just 24 there's no reason to believe that Bojan won't be the same player. Aaron Ramsey suffered a far worse injury than Bojan but is looking very much the player was before and has done for a couple of seasons now.

Yep that's what he said on Radio Stoke. He sounded gutted and mentioned the team were so downbeat after the game. Also said the physio knew it was likely to be bad news.

Either your on the wind or your simply a prick. If your on the wind, your still a prick. Good try fella SGS Oh you think? Perhaps some of us like to be realistic. As I stated, there is no room for sentimentality in football. We aren't in the lower leagues now, we're not playing Walsall etc any more. He's been fantastic for us but now he's a lame duck. It's a bad situation but he is of no use to us any more. I'm not going to be emotional about it, that is football and that's how it is. We've other players and we'll be ok.

This is a great pity and I hope he's able to pick up his career again afterwards. However - and this is not going to be a popular view so I'm prepared for the inevitable flames - there is no room for sentimentality in football. Players that suffer these type of long term injuries rarely recapture the form they had immediately prior to the injury. Once he's recovered, this time next year we should sell him before he becomes an out of form, expensive millstone. I know, that's horrible, and it brings a tear to my eye even typing it, but I am afraid that's the harsh reality. He's been brilliant for us but he's damged goods now. Forget him, get rid of him, and move on. :( (I apologise profusely for that post which is one of the worst I've ever had to type on here.) Crouch and Begovic have both said that he will come back stronger ..... Is that a serious response? What the fuck would they know about it ;D

I want someone to blame I'm that fucking pissed off!! - Arnie for playing the ball through to him - Hughes for playing him against a shitty non league side Or luck because we never get any luck: Odemwingie injury when he was our best player And now bojan who is now by far our best player is fucking injured, so annoyed! just as he was on top form! Aaaarrrgghhhh!! Atkinson. He's a fucking curse, that cunt. I bet a relative of his had something to do with building the Butler Street stand roof. too.

I have only read the last couple of pages of this thread since I heard the news.
I really cannot understand how anybody could write him off as of today.
The real tragedy is his, rather than Stokes; by which I mean that although I am desperately sad for Stoke City, I am actually more concerned about him. It must be devastating for him to have been a bit of an outcast for a couple of years and then to finally play at a club where he is adored and is rekindling the sort of reputation that he enjoyed when he was younger, before suffering an injury like this.
For my part, I will continue to hope that he gets back to full fitness and that he even comes back stronger.
I see no point in being a pessimist; we have no idea how well or poorly he will recover.
I'm sure that this has been said in earlier posts, but we should sing his name, let him know that we are thinking of him and that we want him back. In short, we should make him feel as wanted as we have done this far.
We nursed Rory Delap back to become a player who we would have been relegated without; we can do the same with Bojan.
He obviously has the strength of character to overcome this; we should just support him in his endeavours to do so.
And on a side note; lets get the remaining points as fast as possible!!!
