There was a game recently when he went off on 75 mins and looked devastated. Dread to think what he's like, but my God will his return be glorious

What's the estimated recovery time for an ACL injury?

The closest i've felt to this in terms of feeling sorry for a player and knowing how much we are going to miss him was when Carl Beeston got sent off against Stockport in the play-offs.It meant he would miss the Wembley Autoglass Final, gutted for him at the time as he is local and a Stoke fan.Or was it the sending off at Bolton that cost him? Getting old and the memory is fading fast.

Shit happens, bet he's gutted though as are we. Hope he's the same player when he comes back because he's been a godsend.
It's up to Ireland to step up to the plate now & show his worth

What's the estimated recovery time for an ACL injury? At least 9 months more than likely, usually can't train for 7 months (ie ball work and full training) can start running usually after 5 months

The best player we've had for a long, long time. It is such a shame. Good luck in your recovery young man! You are without doubt a superb player.

Doubt he will be back playing fully till xmas time once he's back in training and then to get fully fit which will take him at least a couple of months I think the first half can be written off (I hope I'm wrong) but experience says its a long road back! Poor guy

What's the estimated recovery time for an ACL injury? Literally it's 6-9 months mate I reckon September October George Thorne did his in July and played his 1st 45 minutes today against our under 21's mate so i reckon it differs on the severity of the rupture

This is a great pity and I hope he's able to pick up his career again afterwards. However - and this is not going to be a popular view so I'm prepared for the inevitable flames - there is no room for sentimentality in football. Players that suffer these type of long term injuries rarely recapture the form they had immediately prior to the injury. Once he's recovered, this time next year we should sell him before he becomes an out of form, expensive millstone. I know, that's horrible, and it brings a tear to my eye even typing it, but I am afraid that's the harsh reality. He's been brilliant for us but he's damged goods now. Forget him, get rid of him, and move on. (I apologise profusely for that post which is one of the worst I've ever had to type on here.)

Best player to wear a Stoke shirt since Alan Hudson. Devastated. His joy last night after his goal showed a real affection and appreciation of the club and the fans. We need to show our continued support for him throughout his recovery in the same way as we have supported Wingie. Offer him a contract extension. Get well soon little man; "We'll be with you..." Haha when he started to put himself about I knew he was a Stokie.

If Mark Bowen was talking 6-8 months then presumbly that's medical opinion and is a best/worse case scenario?

We are going to miss him big time,he is a magician who can win a game for us out of nothing, can't believe he's out for the season after walking off the pitch last night. Time for Ireland to step up and we are definitely going to have to dip into the transfer market now for another goalscorer.

Come on mate, that's not a fair reflection on Bojan, he's shown he has the mindset to overcome setbacks. Let's not forget a lot on here thought he was shot after Leicester at home.
