The Baum won CAMRA pub of the year not long ago.
I don't frequent it however as i do not have a beard, love of trains, passion for morris dancing or personality disorder*
There's eateries all over, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, KFC, Subway etc. None of that posh stuff like Nando's though, we are northern.
The Church Inn by the away end is sadly no more, but The Cemetary is still a welcoming place nearish the ground.
Getting around Manchester is still gash, it's not improved with snow.
*i have a certificate

Just a quick question all. If it were £20 a ticket away at say Liverpool on a Monday night and we had the same amount of tickets Iam guessing they would of all gone?? People may think Oh it's only Rochdale , but come on all its the FA cup FFS. Let's get em sold and make it a right good FA cup atmosphere in front of the cameras, after all: WE ARE STOKE loud and proud.

People still got the inconvenience of taking an afternoon off work or finishing early, the fact that it's on the box makes it easier to avoid the M6/M62/M60 traffic chaos and stay at home....

The final is also on telly, and when we get there there will be 15000 saying I haven't missed a game for 20 years.Lets be honest our away support is generally toss, if the fixture was reversed how many tickets would Rochdale have sold.

I really hope people make an effort and show teams we have good fans and that the cup is good for big teams as well as small ones. It's not that far and despite the traffic, it is worth going to support the boys

Come on my fellow stokies I understand work commitments and crap traffic in manchester but iam sure we can do 2500. Couldn't make Leicester Saturday but have watched the videos of you all and you made me so proud to be a stokie. You were brilliant and I want to be part of it Monday.

It'd be a sell out and an amazing cup atmosphere if it was 3pm on a Saturday.

You constantly belittle our away support yet it's been fairly good this season. People work, have lives, have other priorities. Night games are not ideal for a lot of people. I know you're a superfan who probably hasn't missed a game in 23 years but not everyone feels the same....

Should be selling out, 20 quid & up the road!! If you're working 7-7 like me you'd need 2 days off to go. When the draw was made I was chuffed to death until they totally fucked the ko time . I'd been there a few years ago in the Carling Cup sharing a convivial pint with the local in the Cemetry Hotel. It's a Timmy Taylor's pub for those of you that don't do Wetherspoons.

& Will we need the wellies for Monday? They have been recruiting fans to help them get the pitch prepared.

Cheers. So it's CAMRA pub of the year followed by the deli, followed by fish and chips, and then a pie in the ground. Happy days!
