Aint just the qur'an that calls for death. Try the bible in many places, for example Deutronomy 13; But you are marking certain parts of the bible without looking at the context of the whole paragraph. It is also known that through Christ's covenant (New Testament) not all the old rules are relevant! The same can be said about the Qa'ran. It is not the Qa'ran that sets certain guidelines but the Hadith written long after the Qa'ran And it is These that certain individuals mistakenly follow. As such these extremist idiots are not following the words of Allah but those rules in the Hadith much like the idiotic Pharisees when Jesus was persecuted! You know the point I'm making. There as much incitement to kill in the Bible as there is in the Quran.

Nothing wrong with folks following a religion. The problem comes when they try to force their religious values (or even religion) onto other folk. Why do religions do that? Religions don't... People do.... And that's the issue... Faith for me is about believing and trusting in God, through his sons sacrifice snf the Holy Spirit... I would be chuffed if others were all the same but that is why God gave us a choice and he has a plan for us all... It is Man who 'forces' things much like the Pharisees who were set in their "rules" when dealing with Jesus. So no, borrowing another tag line - religions don't force people, people do... Too easy pal. You can't just blame all the horrors inflicted by religions as simply the actions of individuals. It's the institution of religions that have created the context in which too many evils have happened.

There are some stories of serious power struggles between forces of perceived good/evil, but it would be wrong to say that it's a charter to kill...

That isn't the point I am making though. I am saying, in response to Pete1984 using a quote from the Quran to demonstrate it is a religion based on killing, that you can find the same "bloodlust" in the bible if you so choose. And as many have done in the past.

The old testament was the brutal book of the bible. As they probably realised that using a book that does nothing but oppress humanity has counter productive measures, they then did a complete turn around and wrote the new testament which was more or less the complete opposite. In the old testament God was an unforgiving god who brutally punished humanity when it didnt conform. In the new testament God became the God of love and even came to earth in human form to give us a way out of our sins. Naturally the brute force of the old testament turned into the blackmail of the new. You can all come into heaven as long as you accept that Jesus paid for your sins. People are claimed to have seen Jesus perform miracles but the one miracle which would have clinched it for God, the ressurection. The one thing which would have captured humanity, hook line and sinker and they fucked up.

Sorry should have read 'of' mental illness. In my mind there is a huge gulf between spirituality and religion. And for the 'Christians' on here. (whatever that means as there are so many different types following so many different rules) you honestly expect me to take you seriously given what you believe in ? Oh and don't get me started on the Bible and its history, contradictions and general idiocy. Whats sums it all up for me is that in this enlightened world we supposedly live in the most powerful leader in the western world and his Great British lackey recently went to war and I quote "Because God told them too"
But then I suppose it carries on the great tradition of religion doesn't it GD You don't need to believe but one day, I'll bet you wish you had I'm just a very naughty boy Frasier, Funnily enough I had the same sort of conversation with my Dad on his deathbed. He was the Baptist minister for both N-U-L Baptist Church and Stoke Baptist. I asked him if he really though he was going to heaven and sitting on the right hand side of God. He said he did however thought a while and said with a smile. " However I hope I'm right and the Billion odd Chinese are wrong" GD

Faith is not something you can rationalise

Why do you keep posting provocative anti western propaganda ? Do you think we can't access such politically sensitive material ourselves. Even I can ...and I'm from Fegg Hayes. Because it's truth and right now important to remember while you and your associates bang on with your racist and islamophobic agenda, my friend. Haha "Cause its true" No its an opinion. When you got an hour be a good for you watch this. Filmmaker Pierre Rehov examines the phenomenon of suicide bombers through rare and never-before-seen interviews with actual family members of terrorists, the prisoners whose bombing attempts have been thwarted, and exclusive footage of a terror bomber as he prepares for mission! This film provides a message of urgency for increasing our understanding of the psychopathological dynamics of these terrorist bombers. Course its only a opinion again the opinion of the Terrorist though. It would seem to me they are more interested in getting up to paradise and joining up with the 72 virgins which their Religion promises, Than any social economic causes. Granted they do mention avenging Israeli attacks a couple of times but over and over again you will hear about the 72 virgins. Well when you live in a all Muslim community like Palestine Lets just say its not Rotherham hey !! One last thing about Palestine. Bethlehem has been ethnically cleansed of its Christian majority. Suppose that's the fault of the Zionists though.

Horrific. Just for the sake of clarity though, is your concern about 1) state executions 2) the method of execution 3) messing up the execution 4) executing a woman I ask because if you have concerns about any or all of the above, you'd also be worried about the USA. Last I heard there wasn't Sharia law there.

If you call fear of a religion that orders it's followers (and there's Quran quotes to back this) to murder, rape and enslave non-believers, then I'm Islamophobic and bloody proud of it. "Qur’an 33:50—O Prophet! surely We have made lawful to you your wives whom you have given their dowries, and those whom your right hand possesses out of those whom Allah has given to you as prisoners of war ..." Aint just the qur'an that calls for death. Try the bible in many places, for example Deutronomy 13; Its back to the form of Religion again though fella. I conna think of many Christian groups who say take every passage of the Bible as Gods word maybe them clowns at Westboro Baptist Church in the States but hardly a danger to anyone. Same with Islam until you get to the Sunnis/Wahhabist they teach the Quran as literal. Yes there are peaceful verses in the Quran about Jihad. Trouble is they are at the start. Now the Sunnis/Wahhabist teach that the latta verses in the Quran over rule the earlier. Guess what's at the back !!! All the spread it by the sword convert or kill bollox. Its called Naskh in Arabic look it up.

I think the Syrians have always been moderate, along with Jordan and Lebanon they're the most westernised people in the Arab world.
Shiites, like protestants are the most likely Muslims to leave Islam, hardly anyone under 40 in Iran goes to mosque, and they could possibly form a secular state should the Islamic regime fall.
ISIS members are mainly from Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and European Pakistani communities.

Isn't it funny how most of the oil rich countries are mainly Muslim Do you not see the connection ? the west is demonizing Muslims in order to steal their oil. they are no worse or better than any other religion people need to grow up and realize they are been lied to on a massive scale.all these fake terrorist attacks are an example of this only most people are to stupid to believe their government could be deceiving them. this thread is worst I've seen in a long time, most of you are completely brainwashed and just believe what you're told with out question or to scared to face reality. this is getting completely out of control and if we don't wake up now were f@cked

The trouble with Islam is that it is still in the Middle Ages. It is ....from the wearing of inappropriate clothing to the eating with your fingers , to the arranged marriages and the mutilation of female genitalia. No one can argue that this is acceptable in 2015 . Forty years ago we put a man on the moon . 500 years ago we used utensils to eat with. I will never accept that all Muslims follow this practise , or have Jihadist ideals but the fact is that's its a numbers game. If you have 5 million currently living in this country , then what proportion are 'bad eggs'. ? I don't know is the answer. What I do know is that there are 1000 who have chose to fight in the name of their religion. I also know that the barbaric slaughter of innocent citizens is absolutely abhorrent and beyond contempt. If the EDL or BNP did the same in this country then the detractors or defenders of the radicals may have a strong defence to their argument ....but they don't. Edl created by the Zionists it's all a set up don't you see that?
