No mention of Mike Sheron 96-97 - single handedly kept us up that season. The last player we had to get anywhere near the top of the goal scoring charts outside the third tier.
And he scored 3 vs Arsenal in the cup home and away.

Staggered at the number of folks picking none Stoke players. It's a free world of course and 'favourite' like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm still allowed to be staggered though

Generally: David Beckham when I was younger, Luis Suarez now
For Stoke: Peter Thorne when I was younger, at the moment it's probably Steven N'Zonzi

I'm surprised that George Best has not had more mentions. He was by a country mile the greatest British player I have ever seen. Ronaldo is a modern day equivalent ,of the Stoke players Dennis Violet was an early favourite of mine with honourable mentions to Banks,Greenhoff and Ritchie but I have to go for Hudson the best player I have ever seen in a Stoke shirt.Modern day, no contest Ryan Shawcross.

Must learn to read the question. I was in my early 20s when Banks, Greenhoff and Hudson were strutting their stuff so I'll stick with Violet and Ritchie.

Great shout for Foxy. Very underrated amongst Stoke fans but for me a fabulous goal keeper. I've always loved Greenhoff but throughout the years Chambo and Steino are particular favourites. In The Prem years it has to be Rory, Fuller and of course Ryan Shawcross.
