This Wilson thing really annoys me. The bloke is asked/told to do a job as a centre half by the manager. He is hardly likely to turn around and say 'nah, you are all right boss, I need to play somewhere else or take a rest'. The Wilson bashers need to look further up the tree if they have issues with him, given the lack of any half decent replacements right now You're right, we shouldn't debate whether Wilson should be in or out of the team on a Stoke City message board. Let's just shut it down now and we can all go our separate ways....

From the evidence displayed at this club Wilson is not, and never will be a midfield player. Never seen one player get caught on the ball so often in such a short space of time. Given a full squad full-back seems the best option to me - given our current situation he is our centre-back, end of story.

I forgot about Pieters as being a choice of CB, but if he plays CB, like he did now and again for PSV, we are limited at full back, as I feel Muniesa's natural position is CB. But it might be worth trying out in a cup game when it next rolls round. Muniesa is like a wet hankie at centre half in the PL against far stronger centre forwards He did exceptionally well v Andy Carroll who is arguably the strongest, most aggressive forward in the league. This theory about him being too small or too weak to play centre half is totally unfounded. He had a poor debut in that position v Everton and even then he's had worse games at left back than he had that day.

I'm still astonished by Muniesa' s handling of Carroll. Cracking game that day.
