No - just stupidity - lunatic substitution.....Sidwell a Championship-level filler player to only be featured in cup games and if we were in dire straits injury wise........I really question Hughes' judgement sometimes....... 180 premier league appearances. Genius. I'm talking about his current ability having been a major part of Fulhams nose-dive to the bottom of the Championship dick-head.......

Just ignore every other point that were actually valid then, and focus on one that was clearly a mistake and I just happened to not realise something. You've made no actual point, just called people morons. Good argument mate. My point is that the over-reaction is stupid. We did enough to win 3 games. We simply aren't good enough to take the chances we have. Pieters, N'zonzi, Crouch, Adam, Diouf, Moses all should have won us the game. None of them did because they aren't good enough, consistently enough. Get used to it and get over it. We played very well today. Focus on the positives not the negatives. I'm not sure what people expect anymore.

With the talent we've got and the football we can play (if we choose to) We should be comfortably top half and yet,
we're down with the dead men - still
utterly ridiculous
and totally frustrating
a kick up the arse delivered in a 'surely we're better than that' atmosphere is surely appropriate ????

Sidwell scored 9 Premier League goals last season. If he's a championship level filler, what does that make Walters? Yeh - and that made a big difference to their plummet towards the bottom of the Prem & now the Championship.......easy to look good surrounded by shite..... And who's talking about Walters ? He wouldn't have made a damn fool tackle like that now would he.........

I'd pick another one. We've played well today. Sure its frustrating that we haven't won but 4 or 5 wouldn't have flattered us. The subs were the right ones to make and weren't negative. We replaced a goalscoring midfielder who was knackered with another goalscoring midfielder and we replaced a wide player with another wide player. No one played particularly badly and we should have won. We didn't but that's Stoke for you. You should be used to it by now.

Fuck me there's some bloody knicker wetting girls on here. We played well, didn't take our chances and got punished, that's what happens at this level. We will get there, we just need to take our chances. We will be ok. Don't let frustration turn into overreaction. Tony you are swiftly becoming pathetic.

Bit of drama on here today! Could of easily won that game today but we just didn't take our chances. It is frustrating and annoying but this is what stoke do! Its still early days I'm sure we will get better as the games go on. Just think some of these posts are a bit extreme.

It's pure frustration mate. Some of the ridiculous tackles and passes are letting us down. The times we give the ball away needlessly are nothing less than pathetic. It needs to brought to attention by the management ( not that they can't see it), but we are blowing points (important points IMHO). Don't forget, these are professional footballers, and should be able to pass the round thing to their own players. I repeat, we give it away far too often, and it needs addressing.

not that bad was it ? i thought we did well for most of the game . The free kick was a good goal , hard to stop those if a player like krancar has a sniff But how often do we say "played well, no points". Frustrating. Incredibly frustrating , but i wouldnt describe the players as arrogant or complacent

Calming down - not remotely interested in the bitchfight over one player which has erupted on this thread but more to the point, just look at the league table! We go for a third and close that match today out properly and, we're easily top half up to seventh even. As it is - we're 13th heading for 14th and looking nervously over our shoulder downwards instead of being confident about a top half finish.
Sloppy - complacent - perhaps even arrogant those words still come to mind
And, if there was ever an 'easy' three away points in the premier league - today was certainly it
another missed opportunity which overshadows all the good work being put in
result - still - totally frustrating

I think the fairly slow start to the season, ultimately boils downs to the individuals expectations going into the season.
The ops disappointment probably comes from these expectations . In hindsight, with so many new players being blended into the starting line up, it's perhaps to be expected that we would have such an inconsistent start to the campaign.
The Villa and Hull matches were perhaps the lowest bench mark performances we will probably see this year, but we have improved steadily since. We need to attack with more purpose at home, but I'm optimistic that we have started to see this being remedied as we've got more games under our belt.
I thought we played well today, two silly errors, but showed intent in the final third, and more importantly saw signs the team is starting to show cohesion up front.
Huth needs to get his fitness and strength up to speed, but it's early days. We look a good side, and once we click, I'm sure we will have a good campaign.
Five games in its too early to judge, patience is needed,. Let's give the team the time to turn indifferent performances into the displays we witnessed during the second half of last season.

Onlooker I will desist as promised on the investment but take alook at the next 10 fixtures and honestly tell me where 15 points are coming from we do as stated need to look pensively dowward at the benchmark number of 20 by new year and who will get it

I didn't. Games at home against the bigger sides might suit us more. 4 wins and 3 draws is doable.

You should know by now, nothing is certain in this game, which has been proved time and again, this season and last.

Went today, we played some great stuff but have to become more ruthless should have won easily , first goal was a disaster , get Huth back in the team , second avoidable , needless challenge by Sidwell and we should have scored at least four , can't see anything to worry about that hard work won't put right , best Stoke team for a long time if they can sort it

No complacency and no arrogance. We were the better side, should have won at a canter bit make the wrong decisions way too often and waste chances and good situations. We've played well, conceded from their only 2 shots at goal and missed countless chances to win 5 or 6. Frustrating for sure but not for the reasons you say. No - just stupidity - lunatic substitution.....Sidwell a Championship-level filler player to only be featured in cup games and if we were in dire straits injury wise........I really question Hughes' judgement sometimes....... Are you talking about the Sidwell that has been playing and scoring goals from midfield in this league for years now?
