They genuinely think their squad is really strong. Cripes they are easily impressed. This. I haven't heard of most of those players.

I've had a serious dislike for this set of pricks ever since Gary"Gail Platt"Parker scored the winner in our play off semi final in the 90's,making me the most pissed off I've ever been at a football match.

Don't forget we relegated these during our promotion season. They were all crying in their pints whilst we were all belting out Delilah and going absolutely mental with Dicko. We rubbed it in. They probably have a point to prove and will have a natural dislike for us due to the above reason probably. Out of the newly promoted clubs though, Leicester are the team I would expect us to beat the most comfortable. They shouldn't be able to cope with our width and pace because their fullbacks (entire defence really) are still very much Championship players and our class should shine through. Granted, but don't forget that they knocked us out of the Championship play off semi-final back in the 90s. That really hurt, especially since we had managed a 0-0 draw in the first leg at Filbert Street. Garry Parker's solo effort, if I remember it right. A real 'so near, yet so far' moment that condemned us to more years in the doldrums. Plus I had to travel home along the A50 with all of their fans grinning all over their faces. So I reckon we're quits. (I hadn't read SLB's reference to the same game above, so apologies, but I'm damned if I shall edit my finely crafted rant).

I think that Leicester have given a good account of themselves so far, and it will not be an easy game. Saying that though, I don't fear them and I think their team is made up of mostly championship standard players plus Schmeichel, Morgan and Ulloa. Oh, and Cambiasso, but hes probably just there for the money TBH.

They are nowhere near as delusional as the Mackems!! Most on their forum seem level headed and they're full of confidence having picked up points against Arsenal and Everton whilst giving Chelsea a decent game at the bridge. I'd love to see us hammer them but I'd take a scrappy 1-0, it's more important that we get our first home win of the season. If they come to defend like Villa did or like we did against Man City then we may struggle.

I was quite impressed by Leicester last weekend. They really put themselves about and will provide a physical challenge.
How many of their players would we swap for players in our squad? Any??

Promoted teams pre-Xmas are dangerous things. The fans and the team are relishing the opportunity. That's what makes me nervous. Player for player, we should better them and this should be a win for us, but these clubs in these situations are banana skins
As far as as the foxes board goes ....oh dear. They may have risen to the Premiership, but they seem to have lost their grasp of reality along the way.

It will be a carbon copy of the Villa game.
We need an early goal or else it will certainly be a struggle.

People who think Shawcross is slow make me chortle. Slow on the turn, maybe. In a straight line, he's surprisingly rapid, Huth likewise. I think Gareth Southgate said that Huth was the fastest player he'd ever worked with. He did indeed. He also said "you won't see Huth beaten in a straight foot race too often". Same goes for Shawcross.

Leicester have looked a reasonable side so far and have certainly raised their games against three top sides. All being well, they'll have been lulled into a false sense of security, thinking they belong in the Premier League and may turn up half expecting a result seeing as they've already taken points off Arsenal and Everton and looked decent for 60 mins against Chelsea.
We should have too much for them, especially with our fantastic result at Man City. It could be another Villa, but I don't think Hughes will let that happen.
Still, if all else fails we should be able to pummel them with our bully-boy tactics and hammer them with Rory Delap's long throws.

I think they'll attack us which should play into our hands. After two tough games they'll be really looking to pick up a win and I can see them going all out. With the amount of pace we have now through arnie, assaidi, Moses, diouf, bojan etc. We can capitalise on these high pressing teams in a way that we couldn't under pulis by turning defense into attack before you can say "holy pumpkins batman."

I think Bojan will start his Premier league account in this game, having watched Leicester in the first couple of games they aren't shy about going forward, he'll have a field day in the space they'll leave behind. They will sit back and wait for us to try to break them down, just like Villa. I expect a similar game. I hope they do attack us because we'll beat them , but suspect that Lambert showed them the way to play against us at the Brit.

Just been reading this myself, some very interesting comments. A lot of them are clearly underestimating us, which is fine by me. They think they have a very strong squad and to be fair to them, it's obviously their strongest squad for a long time, but in reality, it is a very average squad and one that is below par for a Premier League squad. Looking at their them, there is not a single player that I would take here at Stoke. That's not an arrogant statement, it's just the truth based on our two squads.
Another thing that struck me was their belief that they should play Vardy and not Ulloa because they can 'play it on the floor and pass it around Stokes defence'. Yeah because Stoke aren't used to little nippy players at all, i mean, it's not like we've been playing against your Suarez's, Silva's, Aguero's etc etc for the last five or six years. So yeah, Jamie fucking Vardy will have the run of the Britannia this Saturday. Ignorance is bliss as they say and it clearly is in Leicester. Personally, I think they've got enough to stay up, but once the early enthusiasm falls away, it'll be interesting to see how they go on.
My team this week would be...
Begovic Bardsley Shawcross Huth Pieters Whelan Nzonzi Arnautovic Bojan Moses Diouf
With a bench of...
Butland Muniesa Cameron Adam Assaidi Crouch Walters

No Crouch Mr Crouchbot?.. very harsh imo. He played well at Man city but we can't leave Diouf out after that goal. He'll be confident and we need him to take advantage of Leicester's inexperienced backline. Furthermore, Bojan has to start againstbLeocester at home, doesn't he? Or who is it that MH thinks he'll be better suited to playing? Leicester will come here and try to keep it fight for an hour and then trying to nick something so we will need our creative players on the pitch to 'unlock' their defence. I also think that defenders wouldn't like to see Crouchy coming on after an hour when Diouf and Moses have run their legs off, with the game (hopefully) already in our favour.

Diouf doesn't look capable of holding the ball up though, which to me, makes Crouch a certain starter. I just think it will be the same team with Arnie coming in for SJW.
