On a serious note, these lot are too used to the championship. This league is a different kettle of fish and sooner or later, possibly this weekend, they'll be brought down to earth with a bump big enough to send their arse through their head. I'm seeing a similar game to west ham last year. 3-1. I hope we take the piss like we did with them too.

"However, I think we may have more than them now. I wouldn't be shocked to see us win" More than us NOW? what, after three games. Fuck me this is hilarious! Officially some of the most deluded individuals I've ever seen on a football forum. They're closing in on RTG for sure?

Rarely do I awknowledge away supporters opinions, it is generally a microcosm of the shite espoused on here by some. But they are an unbe-fucking-lievably deluded group of idiots.
What I anticipate happening on Saturday is what happens to all the clubs that come up and think "it's ok, we got a point at home against one of the big 4" - they come to a place like ours and think they'll win. They won't. We will win, and it'll comfortable at that.
Delusional arseholes. Proper got on my tits they have.

to be fair there's just as many saying they are being too over confident, that we're not the hoofball team we used to be, we're a good side and they'll do well to get a point etc. but i suppose we'll ignore all of those and just concentrate purely on the deluded ones (like we get on here as well as every team gets on every forum) yeah?

If they sit deep like Villa and Hull did then we'll have a hard time. Pearson seems the type to get teams really well drilled. However, if they decide to come at us, leaving the game open, then we'll be absolutely fine.

Hello oatcakes....fox in peace. Should be a cracker on saturday...two confident sets of fans.
Noticed there is a thread entitled foxestalk so thought Id give it a read!!
We cant be classed as championship standard can we??....we earned the right to play in the premier league just like you lot!?. I particularly like the logic "never heard of anyone in the leicester squad = easy win"?? Ha okkkkaaaayyyy x
You lot really need the win...its at home game for you and you are now considered an established premier league team...so the preassure will be on to take 3 points!.
We do have some absolute quality in our squad at the minute though and names such as Drinkwater, Mahrez, Moore, Vardy etc wont be unknown in the potteries for long, Im sure about that. However, I actually think our biggest asset right now is Nigel Pearson - He will have our players ready for this one make no mistake.
On a side note I used to bang a wonderful young lady from Stoke...she broke my heart and now because of that I hate you all and I hate your town.
Good luck for saturday.

We will have to be on our game in midfield to beat them. Agreed! The hypocrisy of slating those soppy tarts on foxtalk, at the same time as dismissing them as non entities is staggering, and hilarious!. It should be a tight game between 2 well organised teams in the same mini league of 13. We all know from the Villa game less than a month ago, that anybody can beat anybody in our little 'Best of the Rest' league. I work with a big, but not deluded, leicester fan and know he rates players like Mahrez and Drinkwater like we rate our stars. Its the nature of the beast! Expect a tight affair, but these are games we NEED to be winning if we have ideas of finishing 8th. If we have ideas of a comfortable top 10 finish. Hopefully Leslie can get his team fired up for this one like Man City, and we can cruise to a comfortable 2-0. Whatever happens, it promises to be a decent atmosphere with the sell out, hopefully we can find our voice even if we arent 3-0 up in 10 mins.

You're right, any game in the PL is difficult and offers different challenges, and a similar performance to the Villa one will mean a difficult afternoon. But this lot think that just because they limited Chelsea to a 2-0 win, no midtable side is capable of scoring more than 2 against Leicester...delusion on a grand scale.

I hate it when people start giving it the " big un " towards other clubs, for some reason it has a habit of smacking you in the chops. I don't "expect" anything where Stoke are concerned, I just "hope". This might be a really hard game where we will have to be at our best to get something out of it. If we are at our best we have a good chance of getting the points.

They were exactly the same when I read their forum before we beat them in the FA cup earlier in the year, and we beat them easily that game. I think they're maybe a bit bitter about the whole relegation thing a few years ago?
Fuck 'em. Hopefully they'll be leaving the Brit in tears again.

Long time lurker and Leicester fan here. Bit of a soft spot for Stoke (I lived in Newcastle for the best part of 5 years) so go easy on me. It's going to be a long post, so if you CBA to read it all, then skip to the end.
First things first, don't judge us all on the over-zealous fans over at FT. Quite often it's the same people who will be predicting us to win the league after 2 wins on the trot, or to get relegated after a poor performance. We have our fair share of muppets, and I'm sure you have the same. Most sane fans agree that the Brittania is a tough place to go, and that a point would be a good result. That being said, our fans and players are on a bit of a high right now. You have to remember that we've just come off the back of an almost-record breaking run in the Championship, playing entertaining football, and then managed to play some of the best teams in the leagues without being horribly embarrassed; I actually feel a little bit disappointed with some of the results, and feel that if Nugent could shoot, we'd have got some better results from them.
So we're used to winning, and we're enjoying the ride while it lasts. Of course, this bubble is going to burst at some point, and reality is going to hit us hard in the face. While getting points against the big guns is nice, it's the points against the rest of the league which are vital, and if we don't win a game soon, then we're probably going to go into panic mode. The problem is, we don't really know how good our team actually is, because we've not really had much chance to be "tested" since putting this team together - we've either played championship sides, top teams, or teams in the cup where we play a weakened squad. We wont really find out what our "level" is until at least half way through the season, though I'm quietly optimistic we'll avoid relegation. However, it's probably one of the reasons why many of our fans are particularly optimistic. There's also a bit of a siege mentality amongst the fans, as we're all a little pissed that pretty much every pundit has tipped us as a certainty for the drop, while claiming that QPR will do fine (who we finished over 20 points ahead of), just because they haven't heard of most of our team.
That being said, I don't expect us to win this game. I think it's going to be tight and a low scoring game, but I reckon you'll nick it by a goal. While I'm a big fan of Vardy, he's been injured. Nugent, I don't think is good enough for this league, and while he works hard, you shouldn't have too much problem keeping him quiet with your defense (I'm a big fan of Shawcross). Ulloa is probably the one to watch out for, he's been fantastic in our first three games. However I think you're defensively solid enough that you should keep us quiet. We're poor at set pieces, however, we are probably one of the fastest teams in the league, so if you come at us in numbers then we might be prone to nick one on the break.
Our centre backs pretty are solid, but we've shown some signs of weakness at right back, and while he's had a good start to the season, I also don't have much faith in Konchesky at left back either, and Kasper can range between World Class and Bombscare, all in the same day. We don't like to park the bus, which makes for entertaining football, but we are yet to keep a clean sheet, so I can't see us keeping you out for the entire game. However, we're a well organised unit, so I don't see you putting more than 2 past us. The thought of playing against Bojan frightens me a little though.
Anyway, we'll see what happens on the day, and I may end up eating my own words, but I think it's going to be a close game, closer than you might think. I wouldn't used our FA cup game as a barometer - we played a poor team, and didn't care in the slightest about that game. Promotion was always the priority.
TL;DR - We have deluded fans, but so do every other team in the league. You should win, but probably won't smash us.

Their best chance of staying up is to sack their current manager and appoint TP asap. You're joking, right? Pearson took us from our lowest point ever, in league one, to the premier league. He took Svens expensive, mid-table team and drastically cut the wage bill, improved our style of football, made some fantastic signings on the cheap, and most importantly, improved our results. He is a fantastic manager, and I have no doubt that he'll be able to prove himself in this division. I agree that TP would keep us up. But at what cost?

TL;DR - We have deluded fans, but so do every other team in the league. You should win, but probably won't smash us. Fully understand where you are coming from and expect that over the season reality will set in. The premier league is a tough marathon not a sprint and the first aim has to be to survive, many promoted sides don't manage more than two seasons. It is easy to believe off the back of a great promotion season that you will take the new league by storm, but in truth it is unlikely. Individual results are meaningless, we lost to Villa when we expected to win and beat Man City when we expected to lose. The top 6 consistently win but lose the odd few to teams they expected to beat. Your real competition and ours are the other 13 teams, if you check it is the teams that have decent home records that tend to survive and those that grab points away that thrive. Always liked Leicester from way back and pleased to see more Midlands clubs ousting the London ones. Good luck for the season but understandably not against us.

I've got time for Nigel Pearson. By all accounts he played a big part in getting us organised again after the absolute train wreck we'd turned into under Brian Little
Ideally you'd rather play a newly promoted side once their momentum starts to fizzle out from the previous season (then again Burnley came in a similar position a couple of years back and were well beaten by half time)
Tough one to call.
