Anyone see Siouxie & The Banshees Viccy Hall 1979? (I was 3 at the time ;-) ...so shit they were booed off stage.
Public Image 1986 (Viccy Hall)..Rotten told the crowd 'I know we're shit but you're paying for it..ha ha'...then someone chucked a bottle that hit him on the head & stopped the gig.
Waste of a good bottle.
What are the worst gigs Stokies have been to?

Hall and Oates as a warm up band for Fleetwood Mac at Maine Road were pretty dreadful.

The Fall are either magic or terrible depending on what mood you catch MES in. He always seems to save his worst moods for gigs at The Sugarmill. The last one I went to he managed about 4 songs, shifted all the equipment round, then wandered off.

Well, as we know, he must always be miserable, cause I never learned me lesson, so have seen them 3 times in 3 different venues & he still didn't play any back catalogue

I saw The Fall in 1986, at the G-Mex in Manchester with TijuanaBrass, blow The Smiths and New Order off the stage in front of 10,000. I have also seen the Fall in the same year get their arses wiped, again with TijuanaBrass, by The Age of Chance. That's when we started wearing cycling tops and monkey boots. Some of us wore jodhpurs. We were young.

I've seen loads of crap. A standout one was Metallica at Donnington 1984. I'd never have believed then they would become one of the worlds true mega giant bands.

Metallica are totally and utterly shit and believe me, i've listened to them. I've tried. And like Trouserdog's rule of thumb "anyone who says they don't like the Fall has no clue about music" there is an equal and opposite equation. "Anyone who likes Metallica...." you get it. I can't believe Motorhead weren't the first "heavy" band to headline Glastonbury.

Metallica are a great live band......I preferred them to bonjovi when they were on the same gig Bought there album later and didn't like it half as much as live
