I saw a group called Honeybus live. Thought they were boring. I also went to see Scott Walker out of the Walker brothers, just to please my girlfriend. Saw him at Fagin's in Manchester. One of the most boring nights of my life!

Bowie on his Glass Spider Tour. Maybe it was an age thing or we just wanted to hear the classics but we ended up kicking empty beer bottles around at the back of the old Wembley pitch while Dave was telling the crowd that poetry is actually dreams of people who are awake... or some other owd nonsense.
Metro Station, 2009, who supported Miley Cyrus. A truly God awful experience. Interestingly Me, the Missus and Daughter (reason for being there) were sat behind Steve Collins (boxing World Champ) and his family. He was a nice bloke, had a good chit chat throughout the evening. Felt sorry for his son who had been dragged along and sat with his head in his hands kicking an old straw around for the entire gig. We found out that the lead singer was Miley Cyrus' brother which explained a lot. The whole 'band' out of tune, couldn't hold a note and the lead singer bouncing around like a massive pipe. The worst 50 minutes of so called live entertainment. Ever.
Paul Simon, Graceland Tour. Came on, said "Hello" played the first side of the album, introduced the band, played the second side, walked off, came on and played The Boxer and said "Goodnight". Great music with Ladysmith Black Mambazo but it was like listening to a CD.
Not quite the 'worst' band but two occasions spring to mind......
Trekking all the way to Sheffield in 2005 for REM to cancel on Stage! because Mills had flu. Stipe and Buck did a few acoustic songs and then buggered off.
Trekking all the way to Hammersmith Odeon to see Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and walking round the corner to see a massive cancelled sign over the door.
