He's no world beater that's a fact but 9 goals in 29 appearances for a bloke on a free transfer is a might good return Wow if the appearances bit is true, that is absolutely outstanding! He's played on the wing for probably half his games and when he has played up top, we haven't even played to his strengths! He really has the potential to be our 15 goal a season striker. I think I said this some time ago. oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/242653/new-striker?page=2

His none celebration again today is strange If he sticks the ball in the back of the net like that on a regular basis he can run over to the Seddon Stand, go into block 29, run up 22 flights of steps and give me the finger.

Not one comment from the original contributors. Come on borat, no1fan, workingclasshero, bobby4, hacket, hiesenbog. We're waiting. He's done ok this season, but not fantastic. More poor games than good. And I still don't think he has a clue half of the time. I'd still play him ahead of Crouch mind.

I gave him a one man standing ovation when he went off and for the first time ever, criticised Hughes. I did notice that the medical team went to him straight away and started strapping up his leg/ankle/calf. I thought mama was brilliant today. His is a thankless task when we play like that but he is great at thankless tasks. Brilliant goal which he made look very easy too.

I was very disappointed to see him taken off as he'd had an excellent game. If as you say he was injured then fair enough else as you alluded to it would be something to add to my short list of things I've disagreed with the manager about.

He just couldn't seem to get in the game today.I was hoping Hughes would take off Super Jon and put Diouf wide to try and utilise his pace.

Diouf has done well for us this season, scored some important goals but his ball control is awful and I think we need a better striker next season

Adam messed up the best and easiest one to him! Say messed it up, he passed it backwards. Thats right but at least adam will look for the forward pass...well nine times out of ten he will That's what pissed me off with that with one tbh, it was the easiest of the lot and he just didn't see it, it was there in front of him, so annoying.

9 goals this season and should get 2 or 3 more.
Had a couple of injuries.
Been off to the ACON.
Been played wide many times.
Really that is a fantastic haul from him.
Just really what are some of fans expecting of him?

I've been quick to slag him off this year but he has been playing better this past few games. I think a consistent run up front and playing with Bojan and we will see a much better Mama next year. He has shown flashes of what he is capable of so next year I think he will be very good

Wow never heard one of those for a Stokie from him before. Very calm, composed finish that was well taken. Although it seems at times most on here don't rate him, it is always obvious the oppo's back four give him plenty of respect. He stretches defenses, and is always working off the ball. I too would love to see him played in his correct position with some lads behind him who can pick him out with a pass into the channels or a ball over the top. If he finishes the season strong I hope we can HOLD ONTO HIM!

Edit: Light bulb moment - I suspect that was Sparky's plan until Bojan got hurt (Whelan was playing well at the start of the season so another DM wasn't needed). Sorry I don't always catch on too quick.
