Incredible for me how people can even contemplate starting Bojan after that performance today. Bego Cameron Shawcross Huth Pieters Whelan Zonz Moses Ireland Arnie Diouf Is that a joke? Ireland was absolutely abysmal, the few times he touched the ball. Ireland was better than Bojan and he's a better player than Adam, therefore he should play

He's a percentage player that plays the odds. Put a ball at his feet and he shits himself. The players in front of him have changed and our requirements of our midfielders have changed almost overnight. Nzonzi is the one that's meant to get himself on the ball and feed the attacking the players and spread the play, Glens job is to break up play and win the ball back from the opposition when they look to attack, so you cannot blame Glen for any problems going forward. He didn't break up the play today either.

We can't accommodate him and Bojan, and on todays showing, I'd give Bojan a go in the CAM role. Adam was better than both when he came on, but I think he costs the team too much to be a starter.

Thought that was Nzonzis worst game for the club.

Move Bojan inside, have a forward who can hold up the ball and bring him and the wide men into play and we may have something. A fully fit Huth, if he is now, has to play ahead of Wilson - sod this stuff about being better on the ball, he is a central defender, and Huth is waaaaay better at defending. At least now we have options, and few players' places are safe if they play below par. Begovic Bardsley Shawcross Huth Pieters Whelan N'Zonzi Odemwingie Bojan Arnautovic Crouch This. With a bench of Butland, Wilson, Muniesa, Sidwell, Ireland, Moses, Diouf

I would toughen us up a bit , not sure about Crouch , he is a lot better at home so
Bego Cameron Shawcross Wilson Pieters Whelan Sidwell Odemwingie Nzonzi Arnie Diouf Similar to side away at villa with Nzonzi pushing forward , strength and pace and movement

If you drop a player because of 1 poor match you will never have a settled team.
If MH believes in his first choice XI today (and he may have doubts about some individuals/positions) he should analyse what went wrong and address it using the same players next match.
There was a lack of penetration by the players today who could not get the ball forward by passing and resorted more and more to punting up the field. There was a failure to get forward to support Diouf. The players should examine where they went wrong and be given another chance to address it.
Conversely if MH has a dilemma over who to pick for a position he may chose the alternative next match.
My main concern was not the inability to score, I think there is the talent to achieve that when their understanding improves; I am more concerned about what a shambles the defence was at times. Stoke could have had half a dozen goals scored against them today, but for Villa's finishing ineptitude and got off lightly at 1-0.

Odemwingie HAS to play be it up front or wide. We missed him badly today.
Huth and Sidwell surely have shouts to start as well at the expense of Whelan and Wilson.
