Yes, it sounded like he wanted to leave Dynamo, but got no real interest to the offers. And yes, he didn t say a word about Stoke, only mentioned Everton. I think (it s only my opinion) he decided to wait until some "Barcelona" will make an offer. Anyway, hope he will score couple of goals vs Chelsea and Porto meanwhile)

Here here. We could still be in the Pulis era of transfers, waiting for the bigger teams to finish up their business and picking up the pieces. Business has been done early within reason and the squad is looking very well improved, but A new signature for DM wouldn't go amiss in my eyes. That's right, we could still be bringing in Ryan and Bego, Ric and Mama, Rory, Ethers, BT and JP. We could be chasing Whelan and Walters, Wilson, Cameron, Crouch, N'Zonzi and Lenny, Sorro and Huth. These players and plenty of others have given blood, sweat and tears to our club. They were brought in by TP who gelled them into a significant force that moved our club forwards at pace. Perhaps the TP transfer methods weren't so bad after all. Just because TP and LMH do things differently doesn't mean either is right or wrong. There is an argument that only desperate clubs sign players at the start of a transfer window before realising all of the options available to them. Those who wait until the end don't always get best value for money. (I know Mama was technically signed by Boskamp, but it was TP who set up the deal) What no mention of Pericard, Berger, Ameobi, Amdy Faye, Tonge, Davies, Woodgate, Gudjonnsen, Carew, Camara, Owen or Shea? And who can ever forget Danny Collins.

Looks like a January sale then, once Kiev has milked as much cash as they can from the CL group stage.

Sukris in Yarmo 'come get him' (in Jan) shock.
Albeit the man's a loon, it's a tad disappointing that Everton have made the the bigger impression.
Get the jet out for a spin today, eh Pete?
And don't forget the chequebook.

I don't think Everton made a bigger impression than us. I think it's more along the lines of their 'owner' genuinely believing Stoke City are small-time and unworthy. This is not the first time he's said something that completely overlooks our presence in this transfer saga. There's not a lot we can do about the situation other than what we have already been doing quite well; wait and see.

He took against us at the start and he's unwilling to lose face by going back on his comments at the time. It doesn't necessarily close the door but, if we did sign Yarmo, you can bet that Kiev's owner would put it about that the fee they got was in the Gareth Bale ball park -it is the only way he could save face.

We hardly look appealing siting in the biotin three no wins . We need to move on and sort out our season in the next 48 hours and we need to focus on deals that can be done and pace and power . If we don't gravity will have its way with us

If not, and Sparky thinks he's the answer, then push the boat out in Jan. We've got enough to do atm without buying a player for a position that is not top of our needed list. For what's left of this window now I'd hope we'd forget him and if possible find the DM that we do need.

Have we been too cheapskate in our negotiations and so offended them? After all he is a tremendous player and they are a big club. Everton apparently offered more than us and they have been listened to.

The figures I saw suggested that Everton's offer was about £250k higher than ours - and even that seemed to have been an exchange rate thing rather than anything else.

We don't need another front line expensive right winger do we? This window has been mental but in a completely bad way.

Never thought I'd see the day when our targets this window could draw any criticism . Yarmo is world class and should be pursued until it's done or not . Whether or not we need to stenghen in other areas is irrelevant .

If we want one for the left wing, buy a sodding left winger!

I don't get it.. is it yarmo or no one?
So we've bid 15 mill for yarmo, so obviously we've identified the need to bring in an additional winger who can cover both wings. But what happeneds if the offer is refused, is he the only target on the list ?
The 15 mill that we must've put aside for the deal must be still there to be spent on other targets, or is the deal only happening because it's a money making deal ?
If the bid has failed , spend it on other targets , can getd a decent center back and a winger with that fee.

My only critism would be van Ginkel as he's not our player and isn't ready yet to step into nzonzi,s position . otherwise I think our signings have been excellent . As I've said before wolly will need time to adjust

Shaqiri aside it's all rather disappointing and the starting XI is weaker than what we finished with last season and it will take 3 signings to address that.
