It would be a no win game for us and a win win for them. We're expected to beat them as we're the "Premier league club", if they beat us (extremely unlikely) it's another statistic for the giant killers. They've always been a bit of a bogey side for us but I would like to see us play them now, I personally think we'd absolutely bstter them 5 or 6 nil. Mate who's a derby fan said that the gulf was massive when we beat them in the cup the other year as we were just too strong Highly unlikely we would put 5 or 6 past any div 3 side, especially a highly motivated one, just doesnt happen (we save our 5.0 wins for semi-finals....). Even when it was pretty even, even games when we beat them, Stoke-Vale games we're nearly always wank. Indeed....i) needless tackles flying in, ii)nervousness from both players and fans, iii) inevitably a bit of argie bargie, iv) misplaced passes (leading back to ii) AND the indignity of potentially losing to your neighbours....???? Doesnt bear thinking about ! Plus the cost of innoculations if its at Vale Park....cholera and e-bola jabs dont come cheap you know

Playing against Vale is like going to the dentist, a special dentist that has only one tool - a chainsaw - and instead of operating on your teeth, operates on your testicles.
The very best case scenario is that you'll sleep through the whole event and have no idea what happened afterwards.
