I think he's the first modern day footballer I ever remember opening a shop fair play to him. From the past I remember Billy mould having a sports shop in the ironmarket in Newcastle, I also went to a sports shop owned by Peter Taylor in Southend when visiting my gran. Didn't Ian Painter also own a Sports shop. Anybody remember any others? Bluto had a carpet shop in Longton.

They call it Mille Feuille. It might look slightly different, though, with threaded chocolate on the iced topping. Tastes just like a vanilla Slice.

Didn't Inchy Heath have a bar in Castle somewhere? Am I making it up or was it called Heroes or something like that?
Did it end up being Blues bar? Or am I totally losing it?

Part of me wants to see some stoke influenced delights. A boothen bun wouldn't be too bad would it? Or a Delilah doughnut? maybe not

'Eric had the Noahs Ark in Hartshill. Dont forget Big John with his pottery in Stoke'
I worked on the Noahs Ark (the pub, not with Noah!) as an apprentice electrician back in the late 80's when it got refurbished. Mr Skeels certainly liked porn and wasn't shy of showing us tradesman the extent of his video collection! There was a plumber who had the nickname of 'Helmet' (you can work out why!) who spent more time in front of Eric's tv than he did sorting out the other plumbing issues :-)

I would have preferred an African restaurant out of the two, and think that would have more chance of success? Hopefully this does well - I can see the Potisseries Shopping Centre going into further decline if that City Sentral goes ahead. Ken Monkou has a pancake shop and I think Thomas Brolin ran a vacuum cleaner shop. Tony Yeboah was running a hotel at some point, he still might be. Danny Mills invested in a pasty business recently too.
