Fantastic band, fast guitar hands. David Gedge's Cinerama are still worth catching live.

Great band, Talking Heads, 'Once in a Lifetime' stays a firm favourite from the immense 'Remain in Light' album. What album is 'Television Man' from Richie?
While I'm here, a bit of pop relief, Reminiscent of Chell Youth Club Disco circa 1981.

During the early eighties there didn't seem to be much new British alternative/indie guitar music of note. But there was a minor American invasion spearheaded by these monsters. Frightening to think it's nearly twenty one years ago.

Never really got the Goth thing, but always liked Nick Cave and all his incarnations. Mid eighties tribute to Elvis, massive.

I still have a picture disk of And She Was, I saw it on the wall above the counter at WH Smiths, when their record department was at the bottom of the stairs. The disk was slightly warped and therefore reduced. I sat it between some books for six months and I'm sure it will still play perfectly the day.

I always thought Prefab Sprout had an air of sophistication about them, Kitchenware Records. 'Swoon' is still a great late night album.

In the days before Oasis, when Creation Records dealt in Velvet Psychedilecs: Jasmine Minks, The Pastels, Meat Whiplash, The Legend, Bodines, Primal Scream etc... it was worth grooving to Pete Astor. The Loft, The Weather Prophets, Pete Astor, or Wisdom of Harry.. all worth a look. Meat Whiplash, jeeez you're digging deep there cheese..!

I remember buying a pair of Don Johnson inspired white trousers for a date to impress a bird, and some blokes wolf whistled me as I crossed the road. The date did not go well and the trousers were binned on the same day.
