Planet of the Apes.
Charlton Heston, Galen etc. As a youth they had a 'Planet of the Apes' re-inactment at Leek Carnival/bed race/'Walking Round Day'. 1975 or 76 maybe earlier. Several Apes on horseback etc.... They were riding around Brough Park catching kids in nets etc. I've got a picture of me being ape/man handled into a bamboo cage by an ersatz Urco. Shit myself. You can see the fear in my eyes in that Polaroid. Terrifying.

My personal favourite is Blade Runner. Brilliant performance by Rutger Hauer as Roy Batty.
Terminator 2. Excellent follow up to T1 Dune. Great effort to portray the giant novel by Frank Herbert. Pitch Black. Great moody performance by Vin Deisel Starship Troopers Enemy Mine Great performance from Dennis Quaid Serenity. Surprisingly good film from the Firefly tv series. If we are including tv shows then Defying Gravity. Excellent series with some great ideas, unfortunately dropped for another series due to the recesssion. Same goes for Stargate Universe. Dropped due to the recession, just as the storyline was getting developed. Space Above and Beyond. Gritty and believable. Battling against the Chigs

The book by Robert Heinlein is one of the best Sci - fi novels ever written .....the film in comparison was a bit disappointing I thought
