From the Sentinel article "As a footballer you have to want to play at the highest level possible. For myself, for the team, it's the same. You have to aim as high as you can." Which the Sun turns in to N'zonzi wants out. Slow day on the BS desk at the Sun?

The highest team (above sea level) currently in the Premiership is West Brom and we always beat West Brom !!!

Off Site on SundaySTEVEN NZONZI has pledged his long-term future to the Club after helping his side secure a record breaking ninth place finish in the Barclays Premier League on Sunday. “I’m really happy at Stoke and I want to be here for a long time. We are progressing as a team, and we can achieve even more than we have this season.”
Who wrote the Sun article today? Shaun Custis had an 'exclusive' in February when he was briefly dropped, which was strange. Sun in FebExclusive By SHAUN CUSTIS Published: 27th February 2014 STEVEN NZONZI wants to quit Stoke. The French midfielder has had a meeting with boss Mark Hughes after the team’s playing style was changed at the start of the month. Hughes adopted a faster approach when Nzonzi was suspended and since then the 25-year-old has not been able to get back in the side.

Bullshit journalism yet again. Nzonzi will still be a massive player next season for us. He has been immense since he came back into the side and it's no coincidence, considering he is enjoying his football under Hughes.

Or do you reckon because he is french he is miffed not be picked like nasri? i don't think N'Zonzi thought for a second he had any chance of getting picked for the world cup squad....fair enough Nasri can be miffed (but he hasn't been picked because of him as a person rather than down to lack of talent) as he's been insturmental in the best team in the UK winning 2 trophies but N'zonzi??? was never going to happen mate. this is a non-story...as has been pointed out above, N'Zonzi says he wants to play at a higher level (and said the team share that aspiration) but the Sun have just taken one part of it to make a story that isn't there because the footy pages are a bit bare at the moment with the season over.

Pinch of salt ....BUT
If it is true then he's in for a shock as as good as he has been since he got sent off at Sunderland he's not as good as he might think he is
9th in the premier league is his current level
I don't believe the story though

I might be wrong here, but I have a memory of Mark Hughes being in close contact with Shaun Custis prior to his arrival at Stoke, he was often banging the drum for Hughes and sharing his thoughts through the media - I think they're quite close.

arsenal need Nzonzi
he would thrive in that position and team and we should charge arsenal £15m
we are now in a position where we have better players than when we were first promoted and now the players will think they should be somewhere else and the vultures swoop
i would let any player that wants to go leave provided we got th ecorrect fee, no point having an attitude in the dressing room
however i think the story is 85% bollocks

He's at the highest level he is going to play at anyway, good player but not good enough for top 6 side.

If he wants to go to a higher club than stoke, he would need to be prepared to be on the bench a lot

At the moment, there are only 8 clubs higher than where he is now, most of them he would hardly get a kick, and would be warming the subs bench,he could go to a decent European side, but he is already at a decent side,so if he does go, it will be for the money and nothing else.

Just read it . It's a 5 line paragraph stating he wants to play at a higher level. In that case I'm guessing it's come from this Sentinel quote then - in the article saying that he was happy at Stoke... "As a footballer you have to want to play at the highest level possible. For myself, for the team, it's the same. You have to aim as high as you can.

N'Zonzi has the talent but not the attitude for a top 4 side.
He needn't worry, we'll be in the CL in a couple of years.

If it's true he's probably angling for a bigger contract because surely if you were good enough you wouldn't need to announce it you would allready be on a larger clubs radar.
