He really does not like Oatcakes does he? Though in all seriousness, there's no evidence to back up this story. With the exception of a fictional email that hasn't been sent yet. The source is pretty reliable to be fair.

He needs a reality check
A good player ....indeed yes but better than a Stoke City etc etc .....nah
Money is his drive and not football ( if it's true )

The source is pretty reliable to be fair. Ok, so we're looking at potentially losing both N'Zonzi and Arnie for around 20m (total)... on top of not getting Assaidi. Could be some major movement in midfield this summer, which is a shame.

If NZonzi goes why don't we activate Diame's release clause which I believe to be around £3.5 million That's a decent shout, along with bringing Sidwell as cover and then we make a decent profit from Zonz leaving, that'd be good business for me

Mark Hughes has had him playing the best football of his career and once again Superstar Steve wants out! Get rid I say, anything over £5 million would be a great deal. It's highly unlikely he'll ever develop any further from the player he is today, he just doesn't have the mental aptitude, he relies far too much on others on the pitch and off it. Sidwell for N'Zonzi would be great business, it wouldn't weaken the team and would generate a good few millions to strengthen the team / squad further. He's never really appreciated his time at Stoke, he's shown very little respect to our great club. Get it done, see you Steve and welcome Steve Really? I think he's much the better player than Sidwell and £5m seems significantly undervalue to me. Still if we get a decent wedge for him and sell Begovic we're not going to be short of transfer funds.

If we are to lose Fonz, then one can hope that Muniesa is towing the party line and selling us as a club to his young Spanish mates to come back with him

Shame though, put a real downer on this season.

N'zonzi using us as a stepping stone and obviously someone has been tapping him up....Personally i would get rid if we can get decent money, he;s only going to affect others with his attitude...he needs to remember, Better a big fish in small pond than small fish in big pond. Thats if the rumours are true of course????????????

Who wants him, where would he go well if he's put in a request then he won't have unless someone has shown some interest. my guess is that we haven't had a bid made by anyone as yet but his dad has probably heard from clubs that are interested. most footballers aren't stupid enough to put in requests without some reason to do so...it's not as if players are likely to just turn up at club's grounds saying "Go on sign me then 'Arry someone"

Probably pushing for a big pay rise. Trying to get us to up the money to placate him. People who have Dads or relatives as agents seem to be loose cannons and uncommonly greedy.

Interest from Monaco. Joao Moutinho is on his way out this summer and Nzonzi has particular impressed in the last couple of months and seem as somebody who can make a real step up.
Also, Monaco have a player who has been touted around a bit in the Prem (but not to us) that we are interested in and came close to signing before who will be part of the overall deal.
Nzonzi for player + £4M

£7-8m and Nzonzi can go for my money - doesn't want to be with us, but Sidwell... Really?!!! Not saying he is bad, but hardly in the mould we've got used to and not in the first flush of youth.
And someone tell Nzonzi that we were a top 4 club in days before the Premier League, so stop patronising us for finishing 9th (see John Percy's Telegraph piece just released).

I'm sure that this will be as popular as a kick in the bollocks, but I wouldn't mind Tom Cleverley as a replacement.

Also, if he is one of our lower paid players, offer him a new contract! his agent is his dad...all that's needed is one club to ring his dad saying they're interested and things change very quickly! the only thing that surprises me is that so many people who have followed football all their lives still seem to think that a player saying they're happy at a club to the media actually means anything! they're nothing more than PR soundbites, did you expect him to say to the national media "Stoke are shit and i want out now"?

What annoys me most is the lack of comment to confirm or deny coming from the club or player. OK the club may take the line that they are not going to respond to every rumour but the player must know the truth of the matter and the potential damage to his reputation.

SNZ is a modern European footballer, with regulation family hangers on. He has no loyalty and respect only for cold hard cash. We are lucky that we do not have too many of his ilk at the club. Let's get the best price we can and bring in someone who does want to play for us. Our stock has never been higher in recent years, playing good football and with 9th place to show for it, so a replacement should not be too hard to find.
