Just replying to one of my own posts earlier in response to others. Good lord, first match report I read and Arnies given a 6. What a desperate, weak argument.

Have to admit I enjoyed watching Arnie yesterday as he didn't go missing for 80 minutes or so, looks more influential and noted on a few occasions he was orchestrating the play when not having the ball.

He's the most exciting player we've had since Nzonzi in my opinion, these are the players i enjoy watching at the moment, players with genuine class and vision. Nzonzi frustrates at times but as long as we've got other players putting in a shift along side them, although Arnie does work aaaard,we can afford the luxury of playing them both.It worked brilliantly yesterday particularly when Nzonzi pushed up second half.

Easily Hughsey's best signing. Arnie's got some real quality and he's getting to grips with what's expected off him defensively.

Fantastic player and i really hope he stays at this club for at least 2 seasons and get his career on track. What i mean is he should be winning the top trophies in football, and really needs to clean up his track record and go on to do that before its to late.

Like another poster earlier in the thread, I've noticed a Gazza-like ability to run past his man.
Needs more consistency, but like one or two others, they would not be Stoke players if they could do it every week.

Gotta love his ability in taking a player on. I agree....First class. A point not lost on many independent observers. An absolute bargain and class act,.

Arnie is undoubtedly part-owl, blessed with a deft touch and 360 degree vision. Apparently Hughes and co. have been astounded that he has mice on his oatcakes {with cheese.} A couple of goals please mucka. He's phenomenal.

Quality when on his game. Frustrating when not. Enigmatic about sums him up.
Also, extremely impressed that even when he's not quite on it, he'll still put his shift in.
Finally, Tazi, stop being such an arsehole.

Improving with each game, can see him being a real asset next season with this season as a learning curve and a full pre-season to get to grips with what we can/how we can best utilise him.

The blokes who sit behind me are ardent anti-arnie's - they hate him. They had to wait a full 20 odd mins for him to make a mistake so they could scream "usless wanker" at him.
A couple of mates who I get on the bus with also seem to have issues with Arnie, after the game we performed the usual post-match analysis of the game/players and I was truly gobsmacked (for a second) when one stated Arnie was shit. I then let rip.
There seems to be a lot of people who want him to fail - with the obvious potential he has I find this staggering. Maybe some people would rather see players and the club suffer than admit they might be wrong? Either way there seem to be a lot of blinkered supporters carrying agendas here.
Is Arnie the new Bjarni???

That's exactly what I used to think, but the better he has got, with just as much derision, the more I've altered my conclusion toward these people genuinely meaning what they say. That leaves only the possibility that they are too stupid to appreciate what he does. They just don't understand football as well as others, and they were probably last picked on the yard too.

What a talent we have on our hands. To think a lot of people were writing him off not long ago.
Unbelievable performance, perhaps his best yet.
