Motivated by the scene from The Boat that Rocked movie: the ship is sinking and you risk your life to save just one of your 'record collection' . Which one would you save?
No smart alecs with iPods or various other modern frippery allowed to answer.

They weren't called the blockheads for nothing. My mate once gave Bob Geldof a lift home when his car broke down after a concert. He gave him £20 for petrol and made him a cup of coffee, he reckons he was a good bloke. Shame he comes across as a total bell end on the telly.

The problem I'm having is that I'm disregarding a lot of albums I feel are masterpieces because they are hard to listen to and I don't really want to only be able to listen to Kid A for the rest of my life, but on the flipside I'm considering albums that are great yet flawed because they are easier on the ears and more joyful.

It wouldn't matter because I could pop into HMV and buy it again.
If we are talking about saving 1 record for all humanity then I would probably pick Thriller

Without question the most important and brilliant album ever made. "Computerwelt" by Kraftwerk, or if "Weld" by Neil Young was to hand it might be that. Then again "Rising" by Rainbow....f***k knows!
Very tough question. "Unknown Pleasures" by Joy Division...errr...."The Greatest Hits" by Leonard Cohen, "Music of the Spheres" Ian Brown..."Yo, Bum Rush the Show" Public Enemy..."Lullaby's to Paralyze" Queens of the Stone Age...any Fall album, anything by Michael Nyman...
No. It would be Kraftwerk. Deffo.
