The Cure - Disintegration This is the problem with the question though, because Disintegration is a fucking mastepiece but I tend to listen to it when I'm feeling low. Would you really want this to be the only album you listen to for the rest of your life!? "Desert Island Discs" is a better question format for most people, I think. 10 songs plus one item of amusement.

Irish Tour '74 by Rory Gallagher. Live in Europe for me.Possibly live album ever.the best l I'd put "Arc-Weld" by Neil Young at the top of the "Live" chart. Closely followed by Deep Purple's "Made in Japan", then AC/DC's "If you Want Blood (You've Got It)" coming in at number three.

Special edition box set of Aphex Twin's Drukqs - quadruple 180g vinyl is probably the record I have with the most value and probably the closest thing to a first press 'classic' that I own. The box itself is rectangular for the sake of the artwork, but it's fucking annoying storage wise. The rest of my vinyl collection is fairly obscure and probably not worth much more than I paid for it, which is a shame because it's mostly ace.

They are really nice.

(Not from Disintegration but I could still listen to it forever)

Simple Minds.. I had some form of unidentified child illness, but tickets for Simple Minds and China Crisis at the King's Hall in Stoke in about '80. It might have been a minor meningitis or summat, but I got dropped off by the Dad and went. Looked moody in a raincoat at the back of the hall. 'African and White' shook me out of my torpor. By the end of it all I was cutting shapes to 'Promised Me a Miracle'.
Crawled home to Fegg Hayes on me own...
King's Hall/Victoria Hall... 1976-1984...those gigs were mint..
Kid Creole & the Coconuts 1983 was one of the best at the Vic.
{apologies for digressing}.

Electric Ladyland is worth saving for the title and the cover alone. {The double vinyl is indeed a thing of beauty.} Love the first few tracks on the Strawbs album. I heard that the album was written in Devon, so I did a stretch of the Coastal path with it on a Walkman. First track 'Glimpse of Heaven', nearly blew me head off. Don't know if the story of where it was penned is true, but it worked. Blind Faith are great, and thanks for reminding me about this.... Class....

If you insist. The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd. First album, took me ten years to understand it. My daughter and I love listening to it together on the drive to Stoke games. It's special for all sorts of reasons related to moments of my life, but that's the one for now.

She laughs her head off at me being a complete tool.
