We cant afford to lose this one. Manager must impart the message that we need something from this game. Their home record in their last five premier league games are 0 wins, 2 draws, 3 defeats. They are however playing well and last four home games in all competitions are 3 wins and one draw (no defeats). If we play like we did against Chelsea then we have no chance. Walters must be dropped.

Sadly we are tosser than toss away from home. We have a shit record at Sunderland and never won at the SOL and we just love to be the charity that helps others out. I'm betting on a 2-0 Sunderland win (for the record I feckin hate Sunderland but I'm not a happy clapper)

as long as we remain secure at home we actually can afford to lose all our away matches this season. Not an ideal situation but fortunate that it is this season. About 34ish points should be ok as all the lower clubs will take points off each other.

Trouble is if we concede a goal we are absolutely f*cked, we are as threatening as a damp rag.

Lightweight and not particularly good despite his 3 very good goals. He was as dire as the rest of them when he came on today. I accept its harsh to leave him out but I think wholesale changes are needed in both personnel and approach. EDIT - if Huth won't be fit, play him on one leg or stick a traffic cone alongsise Shawcross. The cone would probably do better than Wilson.

Has anyone actually told the Manager that we need something from this game. Could he please tell them that although they play in red and white they are not on our side.
Could someone who is rich, sit next to PC and record his comments during the match. I'm fascinated to hear what he says when SJW gives the ball away every bloody time he gets it.
Can someone please make sure MH hasn't got his bags packed ready for a quick get away?

Going to be a real messy situation after the game on Wednesday presuming we fall to yet another away defeat. Hughes is out of ideas, desperate signings.
Sunderland is always an unhappy hunting ground and they are on a high.....going to be a long evening.

Why would anyone play Nzonzi? Maybe because he is the only player we have who looks completely at ease with the football at his feet. He may play the simple pass too often, but at least he keeps the ball, unlike the vast majority on our team. I don't really get this criticism of N'Zonzi at all. I know he can do more, but to drop him is just a ludicrous thought. He's a jack of all trades, master of none.

It will be a mistake to go there for a draw imo.
We have to believe that we can win
We need to have an attacking line up, they are having a good run of results , they played well in the Capital One game.
They played v Kidderminster yesterday - many 1st team players rested, but only won 1-0.
It will be tough,
We need to be tough - both mentally and physically

If we do lose it will be a record of one draw from 8 successive games against Prem opposition, won't it?

I guarantee we will lose..the away mentality from the past 3 seasons is hard to shift plus most of these Pulis players/wankers are born bottlers!

We need 5 or 6 wins from 16 games.
If we lose on Wednesday, we won't be down and Sunderland won't be safe.
Of course, it would be preferable not to lose, but there's no real "must not" about it. Not in January.
