I didn't always agree with his transfers and was disappointed with last season too.
It isn't a small minority post on the things that you suggest.
There are plenty that post continually in far stronger terms in having an OTT dig a TP.

Won't someone think of the soldiers, the doctors and nurses before they consider clapping Tone this Saturday.

He talks so highly of Stoke as a club and a place and after all that he achieved I just can't get my head round some of the hatred directed at him The actual amount of 'hatred' is limited to a small, tiny minority, probably similar is number to those who have a hatred of Hughes. Not agreeing with his tactics or mentality is not hatred; Not agreeing with his transfer policy is not hatred; Not agreeing to serenading him on Saturday before or during or game is not hatred; Being disappointed that we didnt make the most of post 2011 is not hatred; Being disappointed over the last half season (of the last two seasons) is not hatred; Thinking that it was time for him to go is not hatred; Not constantly living on past (comparative) glories is not hatred. I'm sure almost every single Stokie would, if asked about him, be incredibly grateful for his role in where we are now, but it is all about Stoke for me and TP is no longer part of that. Bang on the money that is pal Up the potters

stan
They admit it. They actually admit they dislike the bloke.
The fact that they can't sing his name is testament to that as well.
I have no problem singing Mark Hughes even though I didn't want TP to leave.

They detested his mind numbing football tactics and total surrender of certain fixtures ......not him personally Some just don't get that

Won't someone think of the soldiers, the doctors and nurses before they consider clapping Tone this Saturday. Why are you trying to put a different twist on this mate ? That thread asked for respect and those are people I respect and not a multi millionaire footbal manager who picks FOUR teams a month Clap him or suck him off if you want ......that's a different thing than respect ( smiley )

if not him personally then why couldn't they sing his name?
why not just be honest and admit that you (and the other PHWs) don't like the bloke...which you have in the past.
It's nothing to be ashamed of...just the way you feel.

I have never said I dislike him as a person ......his charity work is to applauded and he seems a fantastic family man I detested his football tactics and total disregard of supporters with bonus games......there is a difference

That thread asked for respect and those are people I respect and not a multi millionaire footbal manager who picks FOUR teams a month Clap him or suck him off if you want ......that's a different thing than respect ( smiley ) If there was no respect for people who deliver great deeds to football clubs, why does virtually every major football ground in this country have statues of previous warriors adorning their exterior? No, no, mate the goalposts have been moved again because it is Pulis. Playing the nurse and soldier card to justify not dishing out a respectful appreciation of previous successes marks a new low watermark in Pulis hating for me. Plenty of people agreed with you on that thread so I accept it is not just you but the classier supporters in this country always respect their past and don't throw out spurious arguments to avoid doing so based on decade long grudges.

hate...dislike... use whatever word you want. I fucking despised Cotterill even before he went and I wouldn't sing his name....I'd have cut my nose off first. This is my field of expertise

He talks so highly of Stoke as a club and a place and after all that he achieved I just can't get my head round some of the hatred directed at him Hatred?? I don't think its that personally, I would say its more disappointment , even after Europe, an FA Cup Final and 5 consecutive years in England's top league he could of achieved potentially more, he really could of solidified us into a top 10 team. He found a winning formula, that for someone reason he changed after the Liverpool game & it never made sense.
No one knows what went on behind the curtains, & I am personally disappointed about the fact we never got too see his new football model that he had been working on for the last 6 months in his time here, but it was a little too late it seemed.
I really don't believe many dislike the bloke, they only dislike what they saw for the 2nd half of last season, there is no doubt when we play Palace, he deserves a mighty thank you, as we never got too say goodbye properly. We all know deep down that without Tone we wouldn't be where we are today, we all hope he is successful I'm sure just a new change was needed.
Well put mate...suspect that reflects the opinions of most people..
