Pulis wasn't sacked he walked because he knew just how shite things were about to become when coming to transfers. That is FACT.
Well, if pugs can quite 'FACT' and all that.
Not exactly tearing trees up in the transfer market.

I think the facts of the matter of him leaving were said at the time. He didn't want to leave but the board wanted him to. An accommodation was reached whereby mutual agreement allowed for a deservedly dignified exit. Far better than some of the recent situations with other clubs. However it was done is no longer of any consequence as both parties have moved on.

See why Pulis walked.

It's a good job that the club's lawyers aren't very proactive in 'reminding' people that 'mutual consent' is not the same as 'sacked'.

See why Pulis walked. He 'walked' because he wasn't wanted any more, which in most people's eyes is called the sack. Anything else is window dressing.

He was most definitely sacked but people who know fuck all about football had Peter's arm up his back whilst the sacking was dished out.

Sacked ? if it makes some of you feel better then yes - but Ive a fair idea TP saw the bigger picture and went without much regret. He's quite a bright bloke you know.

Doesnt need to make me feel better Werrington - Im happy to have had him at my club. The slightly sad part is certain people feeling a bit thrilled that they think they had a hand in getting shot of him !

The only thing wrong with Pulis' sacking was that it was twelve months too late.

If you are referring to sections of the support or people on here then you'll find they wanted rid a year ago as they could see what eventually transpired I was one if those but I'm not daft enough to think I played a part as he would of gone back then Those at the top eventually saw ...1..the money being wasted on players who were never going to play or if they did it was usually out of position 2....players signed for millions with no resale value 3....Shite and rancid football 4.....Season ticket sales plummeting and away games becoming a joke If you think he wasn't sacked then that's your call mate

I will be surprised if he doesn't get a very good reception from the travelling Stokies when we play Palace...and the travelling Stokies would have the biggest axe to grind in terms of our performances when he was in charge.
As has been said: he did a great job to get us into the Prem and to keep us there, and now we move on
Come 18th January I will be more than happy to say "thank you Tony" and good luck for the future whilst giving my full support to Mark Hughes and Stoke City FC

Pulis himself said that the club told him they wanted to go in a different direction.
It means one thing.
Underneath his nicey, nicey exterior lies a scolded child. He'd love to give us a slapping a week on Saturday and the feeling is more than mutual.

I would never say that you were Werrington - but I fear that may not be true of some others. Disagree utterly with some of the points you make however life is too short for the backward looking stuff on this thread. I always swear to myself that I wont react to it but the mind-boggling dis-respect still bugs me.

I should be working the 18th but if I get out of it I will go, and as much as I knocked him over his last few months he gets a huge applause from me as he walks to his dugout. As soon as the game kicks off though it's all systems go behind sparky and the lads

The best contributions on this incredibly boring thread come from Tazi, Wuzza and Sheik Momo without a shred of doubt.
Absolutely brilliant lads.
