Sunderland fans are certainly revolting and that thread is proof that football fans nationwide are MOTD, Kevin Kilbane types. In other words, spoon fed, thick as pigshit fuckwits.

Give me a manager who's both available and better than TP for Sunderland at the moment - and don't you say Roberto Di Matteo.
I very much doubt that they'll appoint him though, but if they do - those fans on that forum will feel ashamed when they look back and read their old comments in May.
redwhite - I usually agree with you, mate, and I'm probably wrong now but I get the feeling you tried to be a bit funny there? If not, I do think we both know that Pulis won't get them relegated if they appoint him.

If I was the chairman I would carry pulis up there on my back . He had reached the end of his time at stoke and I think the breakup was good for both parties , he is still a very good manager and more than capable of turning it round at Sunderland Relegation would be a disaster for them after all the money they've blown

Pulis would be an outstanding appointment for them. Fantastic record at this level at doing what's needed for survival. Would pulis go there though? Lots of new players and i doubt many are of pulis' liking. If sunderland think they are too big or too good for pulis then let them rot in the lower leagues.

TP would be great for the IF they players would buy into his methods. Not sure if they would though. Not a good fit for him, so I would be surprised if he went there (if offered).

Oh no he won't. He'll be bringing in good old Dave Kemp.

A chance to manage one of the biggest clubs in England and in front of 50K fans if he gets it right? Surely he wouldn't bottle that chance?

Some of the little cunts on there... they don't even deserve to have TP manage them, because all of us know he would keep them up no matter what. He was taking us down Was? Are you Gypsy Rose Lee? He didn't take us down and he was with us ten years. It must fucking kill the likes of you that he made you look complete tools.

Would be so interesting watching Pulis go there
Would he have changed at all? Or would it hoofball still?
Sunderland would stay up I'm sure if he went there

Mr Fishpaste is now saying Pulis will get the job No he isn't. Michael Graham ?@capt_Fishpaste 24m @mackemmarj Well, Pulis name was on a list I received earlier. Thankfully, it was a list of those it won't be. View conversation Reply Retweet Favorite More Michael Graham ?@capt_Fishpaste 15m @jamesromeanes Ok... it's not Pulis. View conversation Reply Retweet Favorite More twitter.com/Capt_FishpasteI must admit, it would be interesting to see him come on here fawning over his new messiah in a baseball cap, telling us all how wonderful he is.

I don't see any reason not to wish TP all the best if he is offered the job. I wanted him replacing as much as the next man because he had gone as far as he could with us. Surely the same would apply with Sunderland, TP takes a couple of players we don't need anymore makes them tough to beat but has little or no affect on our status in league. If he keeps them up or takes them down, makes no difference to me. If the Sunderland fans want him or not, I don't give a toss. I would like to see TP back at the Brit, give him a big welcome then take all three points.

And then Plymouth came back early the next season after the prodigal one had returned to us with their fans singing 'we're not boring anymore' all match. And they weren't. Still went down though the following season.

Can't see Pulis at Sunderland, they have tried to go down the director of football route, and I'm not sure Tone would go for that, Di Canio didn't seem over the moon about it.
You would have thought they would try and go for some one not likely to split fans, which whether you're a rimmer or a PHW you'd have to agree Pulis would do.
Having said that Ellis Short doesn't seem to make logical decisions so who knows who he'll appoint.
If he wants someone to grind out results and work with a director of football what about The Trap! Just been released from Ireland. The master of smothering games and grinding out results, all while Tone was still at school!
More realistic if they wanted to go British, Terry Butcher done an OK job at Inverness and no doubt would see his first job as tightening them up at the back.
Bet Victor even have Mark Hughes in at 66/1!!!!!!
