The biggest worry about him would be how fit he is. Did he not play at all last season? If not what was the problem and when was his last 90 minutes?
He looks great on paper but sets my alarm bells ringing slightly.

Oh god, that definitely sets alarm bells ringing. He had a mystery infection which has kept him out for over a year and for periods he lost all feeling in his leg? And he's still not fit now after a pre-season.
As exciting a prospect as this lad sounds, I would be very worried if he was our main big signing. On loan yes, 5.5m no. Who's to say he's ever going to be the same again. Out for over a year with a bloody mystery virus. Sounds well dodgy. Or am I sounding like March?

Nearly ended his career apparently.

I'd love us to sign Guidetti! I think he's had enough bad luck at Citeh to last a lifetime. Could be one of our best signings ever if he recovers form and his health problems are behind him.

He was going to be he business at Chelsea, they were tipping him for great things and comparing him to Drogba. he suffered injuries I think and lost his way a bit.
Get him in, brilliant with his head aswell.

Listening to him on this interview which was only done last month, he is only doing gym work and hadn't even started running let alone kick a ball.
There is no doubt this guy is quality as long as he can get back to what he was.
If we are gonna go for him though we need to go to buy him and not loan him because if he does get back to his best we will have a top player on our books.
Risk worth taking in my opinion.
Not sure if city will sell though, they rate him highly and pellegrini tried to sign him when he was at malaga so it looks like it will be a loan.

I thought this boy had a serious injury which ruled him out for most of last season. Had a great year in Holland 2 years ago, but given injury concerns should be a loan with a view to permanent move if we are smart.

On the face of it looks a good deal but I'm pretty concerned by his lack of fitness.

There was mention of this, or a thread on him a few days ago, that or I've been to the future, so maybe something in the story?

Can we please get some further commentary here? Feel like this could be a goer, but also heard that Swansea is looking at 1 more striker and have been linked earlier this summer.

If we sign him it'll only be a matter of time before his knee explodes.

There is an Argentinian guy playing in the Ukraine called Jonathan Ezequiel Cristaldo, he got 8 Argentina U21 Caps & has 1 full Argentina cap, he scored 21 in 85 for Velez as a teenager and has scored 27 in 62 for Metalist in Ukraine.

Very much a rock the city signing. Would be our most promising since being promoted! 20 in 23 out on loan says it all. Can score penalties too ;D He does seem really promising ( at least pre-virus!) But Dutch league goals are strange beasts - Altidore got 23 in 21 last season in that league! Players like Suarez have lived up to their form though, then again, Alfonso Alves. *shudder*

Judging by this the lad knows where the back of the net is. Walters wouldn't be taking a penalty again either.
