Not ITK or anything but I've heard that someone who has recently left the club has said that a safe bet is Raffa, and Mark Hughes will NOT be joining SCFC

1) Martinez 2) Benites ( Not good with scout and Young players though ) 3) Kasper Hjulman : sipmly 1st choice ( Started coaching f c Nordsjælland 3 years ago after Morten Wighorst ( ass to Michael Laudrup Swansea) Brought them from always bottom Club to passing FC København last year and Champion League experience - most good players were sold last summer , but is back on 2 pl this year Again. playing a diff kind off football like tika taka ( keeping possession off the ball ass much as possible. also when playing Juve and Chelski!! Get him before someone else - everything he has touched is a succes - the Messi when we speak about coaches ( a minus - has not before run a Club in one of 5 big leagues

1: Honestly 2: No 3: Idea
of all the names mentioned Mark Hughes & Stuart Pearce scare me shitless, can't be arsed to argue why
MacLaren might be utter garbage too but just maybe he's got some success in him
Poyet has impressed at BHA but appears disloyal to me
Rafa is surely out of our league (if I'm wrong then he would be ace)
RDM with Steve Holland seems to tick the boxes that Stoke are talking about
Martinez is a nice guy & it would be the exact opposite of TP in many regards both good & bad
rookie managers are surely unlikely but if we do then Bould with highly experienced assistant might work, maybe Neville brothers
overall I guess RDM/Holland combo appears to be the most sensible

1 - Rafa 2 - Hughes 3 - Poyet
I think these 3 are the best fit for the job otut of the available managers. Had we just sacked a manager who had assembled a team of tip tappers then I'd go for someone like Martinez, as it is I really don't think he'd be a good fit at this time. I think all 3 of my choices would be more likely to keep us solid at the back, which is absolutely vital in the premiership.

Agree with ramblers. Rafa seems to be a real long-shot - but obviously he'd be the one if it was viable. If not: 1. Bobby M 2. Gussy P 3. Bobby Di M Going full-on Latin, baby. Oh yeah. I expected more from you than wanting some overrated jumped up relegation merchant.

The list of potential candidates isn't exactly inspiring. Of the main contenders -
Rafa would probably have been most people's first choice. And it's equally probable he wouldn't come.
Di Matteo doesn't look like the right fit for Stoke - like he wasn't for West Brom.
Martinez is a likeable guy, full of passion, but would come here off the back of getting his last club relegated. I know there are mitigating factors - Wigan had lots of key players injured, they won the Cup, etc - but defending seems to be his blind spot.
Hughes has plenty of PL experience, but I can't get excited about the prospect of him coming.
Poyet couldn't get Brighton promoted and has no PL experience as a manager.
So if Rafa's a no-go, I'd say Martinez with Steve Bould as his assistant.
Failing that, I'm struggling, but Malky MacKay might we worth considering.
