Would like Rafa but think we'll end up with Poyet. Just been told its Mark Hughes from a reliable source on the inside TEST If it is Hughes then so be it, think he should be given 100% support from us and give the guy a chance.

1) Rafa 2) Mark Hughes
I wouldn't have a 3rd at this stage. If we can't get Rafa, I would turn to Mark Hughes.
After that I would need a serious think but I wouldn't object to Martinez, Poyet, Zola, Bould or either of the Neville's. Of those allegedly amongst the favourites for the job, there is only Di Matteo that I would have serious reservations about.
EDIT - if we could poach Lambert or Allardyce, then either of them would be at No.2 in my list with Hughes dropping to 3rd.
Although Mark Hughes came across as something of a twat during his spell at Fulham, his record is a good one and I think he ticks many of the boxes that we are looking for in all honesty.

Johnno Mark fucking Hughes????? the one guy that spent more and basically relegated a side hating pulis is one thing, wanting him gone is another but to replace him with fucking Hughes makes no fucking sense whatsoever Martinez has just relegated a side Poyet was made to look like a cunt by Holloway (I'd have him too although you wouldn't no doubt as he was a mate of Pulis) and has never managed a side in the Prem. Bould or the fucking Nevilles????? Reservations about Matteo who has actually had reasonable experience and won a champions league I just thought it was Pulis we would disagree on but it doesn't look like it

Rafa 1st ...yes please. would be a major coup and raise our profile beyond recognition....
Di matteo, won champs league but with someone elses team , Martinez likes to leave it late each year, Hughes= 1 bad job, seems solid manager and can see him coming...had shite experience so would try to make sure doesnt happen again Poyet= done well in lower league= gamble but who knows. Marton o neill...god knows , plays counter attacking so is he want we want ?
Any unproven manager, No too much of gamble....too much at stake. Pulis,,,Thanks for everything but time for you to have a rest and try something new.

Did he spend shit loads at QPR though MCF? He spent similar amounts to Pulis but his owner threw ridiculous wages at the players which is hardly his fault.
His record with Wales was excellent, his record with Blackburn exceptional, his record with Man City was good (he was sacked when they were 1 point behind 4th place having lost only 1 game before Christmas...Mancini took them backwards initially...and his record at Fulham was very solid.
Granted he made a mess of things at QPR and was a bit of a twat in the process.
He is young, he's experienced, he has a decent eye for a player and he has done decent jobs at unfashionable clubs. If he stopped being a twat and remember how he himself used to play the game and managed accordingly, he could be perfect for us.
Hopefully we will get Rafa and everyone will be happy. What the fuck we would all talk about on here though at that point would be anyone's guess.

Neville & Neville with their dad Neville Neville making the brews would generate some publicity but probably not the kind we're looking for.

so you are blaming the owner for paying big wages so that Hughes could have the players that he wanted? you are actually blaming the owner for backing the manager????? they were in the right fucking shit when Redknapp took over and his record after a full summer was atrocious.
i'm just amazed that after all your fucking moaning about the style of play for the money spent that you would go for Hughes????
I thought he did well at Blackburn, rubbish at Man City given the money, ok at Fulham (i thought he had inherited a good team and was well backed - i may be wrong) but then just dumped them before fucking up at QPR and destroying them.
