Rafael Benitez would be my top choice.
Who do I think we will get? Mark Hughes or Gus Poyet.

Poyet, as a very good outside chance but improving steadily as others are falling by the wayside e.g. Rafa,Martinez. RDM's been available for some time, so if Stoke had wanted him they would have appointed him by now.

I think it could be Rafa, it was a huge move to get rid of TP and they will need a big name to replace him. If it was Hugher or Di Matteo I think something would have happened by now with them both out of work, It seem's strange that straight away the club said nothing will happen until next week, which is when Rafa returns from the US. It could also be that we are waiting to see what happens with Martinez, and also the play offs with Holloway in mind (maybe TP had an imput on his successor)Just have a feeling it could be Rafa, which would be amazing.

'Just an opinion mate. Clearly you don't have one.' I have an opinion but I fail to see how seriously suggesting Pulis as one of your choices for manager next season can be construed as one. I fail to see how you wouldn't think that a man who has kept us in the prem for 5 years, got us to an FA cup final and into Europe isn't a sensible choice. Perhaps you need to look up "opinion" in a dictionary. Still not had one from you.

I would like a high profile manager like Rafa but I fear we will end up with a less demanding manager who would work with less funds. Rafa would want a huge transfer fund which PC is capable of giving but would he ? So he will go for a Martinez type who would settle for less. PC will go for a hardworking down to earth type manager so....
Heart: Rafa, Klinsman, Guus Hiddink, Paolo Maldini.
Head: Martinez, Hughes, Poyet, MON, Hoddle, Sven, Karl Robinson, Zola.

It would be Rafa by a country mile but going along with the theory that he will have bigger fish to fry:-
1, Roberto Martinez 2, Michael Laudrup 3, Gus Poyet
