Anyone observe Ryan Shawcross' actions at the end of today's game?
It may be me, but Ryan is always one of the last to leave the pitch at the end of the game, having walked to the half way line, shaken hands with the officials, he ALWAYS approaches the Boothen End to applaud the supporters.
In all his years with us I have never once seen him not do this.
Today, as soon as the final whistle sounded, he sprinted down the tunnel. He didn't shake hands with anyone, didn't congratulate his team-mates or acknowledge the officials. Just straight down the tunnel.
Hopefully, he had a dodgy tummy and needed a shit but I wondered if he has become a little tetchy with the crowd as the audible groans when he launches yet another long ball in the direction of no-one in particular are seemingly becoming louder each week?
It was very strange to see from our Skipper.
Anyone else notice this?

I didn't to be fair but I reckon we can over-analyse sometimes, mate.
You could of course be right but it's probably nothing.

I don't know about that dave but IMO whilst being a great defender, he's turned into an awful footballer. For me he could be so much better.

Yes I did notice this and thought it was very odd
Huth, Cameron and one other were all hugging each other at the end while Ryan walked off
Very strange!

I didn't notice him leg it but I did notice that he wasn't there at the end like he usually is and made the same presumption as You!

I don't normally micro-analyse things like this...
But I must admit, I did happen to notice this. As soon as the final whistle went, he turned and jogged straight into the dressing room area without any acknowledgement of anyone.
Very odd, as he is normally one of the main 'clappers' to all sides of the ground.
Maybe it was just as simple as being in a rush to get somewhere?

Totally out of character for Ryan.
Hopefully there's a simple explanation.

Or maybe Pulis has told him he's a gonner, with him being captain & all.
Well, it's what people are thinking, isn't it.

I thought he was below par today, so maybe he does have other things on his mind as has been said above.
Or maybe the players know that TP is on his way and that some players have taken it better than others, Ryan being one that has taken it badly? Maybe it accounts for an upturn in certain players' performances?
Maybe that's what the media ban is really all about?

Mmmmmm interesting observation. Given that Ryan is a massive advocate of TP and supports him to the hilt, perhaps there is some truth in the stories in the media that TP will leave as soon as safety is assured. Hence Ryan's reaction to his mentors possible last game in charge.

Not surprised really (Well I am cos as captain he should be doing what he usually does at the end) he was shite today. Will never be good enough to play for England. Great out and out defender but he looked totally lacking in confidence today. Still love him cos he's Our Ryan. But unless there was some other reason for what he did at the end. He needs to man up.

he cannot pass a football....> No offence but that is total shite. He is asked to continually hit 50-60 yard balls. He's a centre half not Glenn fucking Hoddle.

THIS Some of these comments are difficult to understand. We've watched him grow up and he's been one of the signings of my life following Stoke.

he cannot pass a football....> Clearly you weren't a fan when he first joined. If you think you can come through Man Utd's academy without being able to pass a ball then you must be monumentally stupid. Would Ferguson have gone on record as saying he shouldn't have sold Shawcross if he couldn't pass a ball?
