My late Mum and Dad. Dad used to lift me over the turnstiles at the Vic and I used to sit on my Dad's knee, or between the two of them.
Always remembered them listening intently to the teams and changing them in the programme, we always had funny coffee at half time, Mum would put a drop of Rum in.
Bloody hell, that was around 1955, educating our grandchildren now to be proper stokies.
Do it lads, we'll be with you.

Do it for my Grandad, moved from Hull and dragged my Dad to see Stoke as a kid, got him hooked and thus got me hooked.
Do it for Andrew Knighton, anyone is the Staffs cricket leagues may have come across this young un at some point. Tragically taken at an early age. Wonderful guy, and someone I was lucky to played football and cricket with.

This has choked me a bit this thread. Do it for my Grandad. A city fan of 60 years home and away through thick and thin. Sadly died fifteen years ago and his last prediction was Blackburn winning the league on his death bed. My dad went and put a tenner on for me as I was too young in them days and they did. It was the year they stormed the premieship with shearer up front. A champion bloke and my only regret was never being able to have a drink with him as I was too young. If he was here now he would be knocking round the pubs of Stoke feeling as we all are now but NEVER showing it. A fine example to Stoke and a bloody fine lad to have had the pleasure of being related to. Lets do it for them all RIP Tom Harley
