Apologies for being controversial, but I think we competed on equal terms at Reading and Wigan, and more than deserved a draw on both occassions.. Your sincerely.. A Stoke Supporter Would that be the Reading game where we sat back and allowed a limited side to come at us for most of the second half, thus spunking away two points? As for Wigan- great game. We created more in that game than any away match since promotion, and Adam did what we know he can do and ran the show- because the manager hadn't had the opportunity to drain the positivity out of him at that stage. Shame Wigan was the exception rather than the first signs of progression. Yes, those were the games where were competing on equal terms...sorry to point them out, they obviously didn't suit your agenda ;D

Dodgy, Just for your benefit, as clearly we will not agree and you are welcome to your opinion.Personally I would not trust Tony Pulis to teach my dog to sit (note I said sit not s*it) without him f***ing it up. He is to football what Maggie Thatcher was to the Mining Industry, and his negative approach has done more harm than good to the proud name of Stoke City. We are reviled by nearly all aspects of the press and media for our attritional approach.Alan Hudson(the best player I have seen at Stoke) would not work hard enough to feature in a TP side - the fact that he could produce match winning football in the space of 5 minutes would be scarifised on the altar of run and defend, do not attack that is the mantra of TP's vision. You are welcome to TP if that is what floats your boat - personally I'd like him to go with some dignity, and resign come the end of the season if he achieves a lower league position and less points than last year. If we do fare worse than last year's position and he doesn't resign, then just sack him.

To be fair, Maggie did the right thing with the mining industry, non profitable, government subsidised industry that the previous Labour government couldn't control..Sometime tough decisions need to be made. As annoying as she was, she did what was best for the country Pulis is no different, extremely irritating at times, but given what's been achieved so far, I'm prepared to give him another 12months before shouting for his head

And how is mentioning 1 win in 22 away games and 3 goals in 9 away games an 'agenda'? Cold hard facts, no agenda.

When we came in to this leaque, we realised that to make best use of the limited resources we had available, it would be necessary to play to our strengths. So we relied on our physical strength, the long-ball, the set-play, the long-throw etc. We were never going to outplay anyone off the park, particulary the likes of Man Utd and the other big teams. Defence became our offence. Now five years on, admittedly we have better players but we will still never outplay clubs with their massively superior resources and their better players. The defensive mindset has remained at Stoke. It is the only way we survive. Also, if we were giving it a go everyweek away, we would soon be getting hammmered 7-1, 6-1 etc, moral and confidence would go and it wouldn't be long before our home form plummeted and we would get relegated. It's not rocket science. We ain't Barcelona, get over it! The last team that gave it a go in this division every week was Blackpool and look what happened to them. Equally fair point, although Swansea currently the exception to the rule and WBA earlier in the season, Pretty much agree though. Frustrating as it is at times there is a case of better being safe than sorry. If someone offered me another 5 more years of the same, which as a result we had a really strong base and legacy to build on, rather than risk it all on some gung-ho football that the pundits might like in the moment but soon forgotten once relegated. You only have to see how long it takes to get back and the dire financial spirals that ensue, We've fought long and hard to be where we are on and off the park. Seems crazy to risk it all. But yeah would be nice to have more of a go and play away like we do at home - still tight but have more belief.

Boothenesque. Totally agree. My point is we go out give it our all and get slaughtered ten nil. Brillant. Bang on tactics. The lot on here couldn't manage a park team let alone a premier club with aspirations of joining the elite. They think we should be going toe-to-toe with Barcelona for the Champions league or somefing.

Personally it depresses me that some fans seem to have so little ambition or faith in the players the manager has brought to the club to think we're only capable of scraping to 40 points and that going away from home with the intention of trying to win a game automatically means you want to go gung ho and lose 10-0.

9 valuable points earned on the road so far this season... Only 4 teams have less. Statistics show we are underperforming away from home. Statistics will not support any argument that tries to claim our approach to away games is successul or justified.

I posted that in reply to stats... 9 points gained despite negative approach, despite those other stats these points have kept us mid table and not looking too doubtful that we will stay there

What are you saying, that we should be grateful for any away points we can scrape together at all? That away points are a bonus?

Is there anyone in this division that you think we should travel to and compete with as equals (or at least, as a fellow Premier League club, rather than acting like a non-league side in a cup tie), and, God forbid, try and win a game of football? West Brom don't count by the way, we could field our promotion-winning side and probably nick a win against them. 1 away win in 22, 3 goals in 9 away games...surely even the Pulis mafia must, deep down, realise it's getting a bit ridiculous now. And if not, why not? Credit, by the way, to those who travelled today. I just hope the rest of your day/weekend in London made up for the predictable puddle of horse-wank served up again. What the fuck are you on????
