KJ was lazy and had an absolute nightmare away at Villa last season. He played like he had had enough of Stoke City and wanted a move away on the back of not being given a fair crack of the whip since the arrival of Crouch. What does that have to do with this season where KJ has been excellent when coming on as a sub and more importantly as a starter over the last 9-10 games? The results haven't been the best though have they? Personally, I couldn't care less if we sold him. As mentioned previously, he's inconsistent and flashes hot and cold. Currently he's on good form, but come February / Ma rch I wouldn't be at all surprised if he reverted to his old self. I think it's the prospect of Crouch that is scaring most people, understandably.

KJ has been pretty damn good for us when given a fair crack of the whip though Foster.
He scored goals in his first season with us, 13 of them, and helped to fire us to an FA Cup Final and into Europe. Granted, during the January-March period he was poor but again, he was replaced by the hapless Carew for little or no reason.
He then started last season well, scoring at Norwich, in Europe and in the league cup. He was playing well and was uncermoniously dumped on Crouch's arrival and not given a fair chance for the rest of the season.
His performance at Villa was shocking, granted and such a lack of effort on the day was really poor.
However, this season, he did well when coming on as a sub, looked threatening despite missing chances and when he started he has done well and scored goals.
He is better suited to Stoke City than Peter Crouch will ever be and it would be ridiculous to sell him when we remain at least 10 points from safety.

I know what you're saying mate, but the thing here is that keeping him poses a risk to the club.
Let's say we decide that he's vital to the club and refuse to sell, in which case we'll have to renegotiate and extend his contract and have to stump up higher wages for a number of years. This would be okay if we were certain of his form, but we'll be screwed if he turns into a lazy fucker again, sitting on the bench taking the money. If that happens we'll have to invest in or loan another striker (like Owen perhaps) just to compensate. We would have lost the opportunity to sell him, will be paying him more and having to pay out for replacement.
It really depends on how Tone see's the striker positions going and what his plans are next season or the season after. If he envisages a strike force without KJ, or thinks he can get better, then he should sell.
Personally, I would be happy to keep him and focus on bringing in a winger or two. I don't think we have any serious problems up top and have more than enough cover.

looks pretty much that hes going, but without a decent replacement it not the right time? - it might be for the club, so as to get money back while hes having a good spell, but we need a replacement quick
even huth says stoke will miss him

Completly the wrong time no body else looks capable of scoring on a regular basis in this horrible system, but Pulis is not going to change it come hell or high water.

As you say, it all depends on any prospective replacement.

What would you expect them to come out and say? They're asked the questions and answered as you'd expect.

Pulis wants him off the wage bill so he can afford Bent's wages. It really isn't just about the transfer fee. We tried to offload him in summer to Villa in part exchange for Bent but due to various issues the deal wasn't done.

If only Pulis would stand up and say he has no intention of selling KJ.
If fucking only...
As regards to a possible replacement for KJ, Pulis probably already believes we have him on our books.. Peter Crouch and add to that a returning Mama Sidibe.
