We were brilliant today but we can't keep drawing we must win next week as we don't want to be on 4-5 points after 8 games.
I love our shape at the moment and against a lesser team next week we should see more of the ball and create more.
I'd like to keep the same formation next week I'm just worried if we went more attacking we'd open up still it'd be interesting to see an Owen / Crouch partnership.
I don't envy TP must be a tough decision.

Tough decision but that's his job. Yes it;s biggest game of the season and a game we need to win

Quite happy so far , got some tricky fixtures out of the way , not much to show for it yet but can't wait for Liverpool

I'm totally confident that we'll beat Swansea regardless of what team TP selects.

The Jacks are abysmal at the back; Crouchy should enjoy himself next week. Just hope we don't revert to last season's model of playing well against the big boys and not turning up for the easier games.

No Nathan Dyer as well. Hoping for 3 points against The Jacks......... should be a good game on yesterdays performance from the lads at Chelsea. Swansea were battered by Everton.
At home I fancy us to turn em over. C'mon CITY!! 1 - 0

Is that right? I'd assumed he would just get a one game ban which will mean he is available for next weeks game, just missing the midweek game?

Are they still in the League Cup? If so, then Dyer will be available next week. Two yellows = One match ban.
He was lucky not to get a straight red though.

Can't see us having too many problems v Swansea. They really are poor at the back and we've played far better sides this season and given a good account of ourselves. Yesterday was a real blow as we deserved something and a similar performance next week will see us ok

I'm confident we'll come out of the next 3 games with 4 points at the very least, I wouldn't be surprised if we got 6.

Well last year Mr Pulis sacrificed cup results to get the points he needed for survival in the premiership.
This time its a bit different but just as important.

Best measure so far of our progress. The results we've had in the games to date are pretty much what I would have been happy with if they were spread throughout the season. The fact they were all togetherhas given a distorted view of how we are progressing.

But a win would be nice to ease things
Post Man U to end of December will define our season. Many a winnable game. Given how we are starting to play and how the below are, could make a case for most. 20 points minimum target I hope
Liverpool v Stoke
Stoke v Sunderland
Norwich V Stoke
Stoke V QPR
West Ham V Stoke
Stoke V Fulham
Stoke V Newcastle
West Brom V Stoke
Aston Villa V Stoke
Stoke V Everton
Tottenham V Stoke
Stoke V Liverpool
Stoke V Southampton

And we need a win like never before. Fail to win this one and we are looking at over 6 months, or half a year if you prefer, with no win of any description in any competition. If you are wondering how long ago that win over Wolves was it was not only before the Olympics it was even 2 months before the Queens Diamond Jubilee if anyone can remember back that far for heavens sake. With Liverpool and Man United away to follow we really need to step up to the plate here and deliver the 3 points. Come on Stoke, seize the day

As with this fixture last year I'm hoping for a professional 3 points. As then, it defines whether we get drawn in at the bottom or give ourselves some breathing room.

Massive game. If we don’t win, with follow up games being Liverpool and Man Utd away, we could go 8 without a win, which would affect confidence. Winnable game, positive team selection and tactics needed. Begovic
Cameron Shawcross Huth Wilson
Pennant N’Zonzi Adam Kightly
Crouch Owen

Crouch Owen Would love to see a focused and flying Pennant but don't think it's likely. He seems to be well and truly in bad boy corner. Ethers left and Kights right maybe? Also be very surprised to see Owen dropped. Probably the same team as at Chelsea.

Massive game where the result is more important than the performance. They're a decent side but rocked after Saturday. We should be fresher too as they play midweek. I'd go with
.............................Bego......................
Cameron......Huth...........Ryan.......Wilson
...........................Adam.......................
...................NZonzi......Whelan..............
..........Kightly......Crouch.....Owen...........

Everton showed us the way at the weekend. Press them high up the pitch, don't given them time to think and they make mistakes.
2-0. Boom.

Lose this game and the manager should consider his position.
No win in 11, 4 wins in 29. With a run of so called easier fixtures on the horizon, this shocking record should be improved on.

A trip to Stoke City awaits after Tuesday's Capital One Cup tie and Laudrup warned his players must be smarter to deal with the physical challenge.
"If we're not ready there and give away five, six or seven free-kicks in the beginning, then Crouch and company will punish you," he said

-------------------------Bego----------------------- ------Huth-------------Ryan-------Wilson-------- -----------------------Whelan---------------------- Cameron----N'Zonzi----------Adam-----Kightly -------------------------Owen----------------------- ------------------------Crouch---------------------- In my opinion this is too much of a gamble because Swansea will play with two wingers in Hernandez and Routledge and I think you need full backs to do the job - Unfortunately we haven't got any natural full backs available ;D I think Whelan will be dropped in favour of Owen which is a shame because Whelan has been playing very well of a late but he needs to fit in Owen in somewhere and Saturday proved that he certainly isn't a midfielder. I think the formation by WD is correct but can't see Walters being dropped either so it's Pennant out.
