As long as there are no new injuries I'm sure the five at the back will be the same as against Chelsea. I'm also sure that N'Zonzi will play in the middle and that Crouch and Walters will start up front. I hope we will play with two wingers which means one of Adam or Whelan must find a place on the subs bench. Hopefully the team will look like this even if it's hard luck for Glen! .....................................Bego....................................... Cameron.............Huth............Shawcross.......Wilson Kightly/Pennant.....N'Zonzi......Adam.........Etherington ...................................Walters.................................... ....................................Crouch...................................
One of Pennant or Kightly as they both could do a good job on the right. I don't think Kightly is just as good on the left as he is on the right.

Would be absolutely stupid to leave Adam on the bench.

I don't know if it's what I expect, but I hope that we stick with the same team and system. I'm interested to see how it fares against a 'lesser' team.

I'm not entirely sure Adam is fit. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't start. What on earth makes you think that? He was our best player at Wigan and improved as the games wore on against City and Chelsea. He's had a full pre season.

I'd like to see super Johnny start. I think he's been brilliant so far this season. A fully committed SCFC player if ever there was one.

He will have had a full weeks training this week as well as playing matches since. Surely if that injury was a problem then why did he start the last 2 games? Didn't look very injured to me. He was good against City and looked ok last weekend. More to come from him. Leaving our best players on the bench isn't the answer. We've looked good so far this season.

Hes fighting for his place and doing a good job of it. Theres competition now, which is obviously a good thing.

Don't get me wrong bianco, I'd pick him like a shot, I think it's him as much as anyone that has facilitated the subtle change in play we've seen. he just hasn't looked like a full 90 minuter in a Tone side yet as he?

Only change I want is ethers or Pennant for Kightly. How can anyone want Etherington to start matches these days? He's been a liability for well over a year now.

True. But he simply has to start as you say because he and Nzonzi have changed the way we play single handedly. As I said the other day... In order for our transformation to be successful then Adam would have to be a success. If come Christmas we are back to a caged midfield and a 4 4 1 1 formation than evidently our shift in style can be considered a failure. Adam will be great, he just needs game time.

Sadly won't be at this game, I did manage Arsenal. I hope there is a sell out crowd for this one and there should be as the next home match is a whopping ONE month away!

Personally i wouldnt change the team at all although i have a sneaky that Owen will start According to this morning's Press Conference, TP says Adam told him at half time against Chelsea that he didn't feel well (virus?) and that's why he was subbed. Tp says he has trained this week with no problems - so I'd expect him to start on Saturday. The only change I would make from Saturday's squad would be to consider Pennant as sub instead of Ethers but I'm not sure TP will see it that way!

I hope he gets bold with his subs. Jerome for Shotton and Pennant for Ethers. That gives the manager lots of attacking options.
