If we are to stay reasonably comfortable in the division then this is they type of game we have to win. Having competed well against some big clubs you could argue that this is a bigger test as the expectation is on us.

Well new players are now getting settled in, the manager has lots of options, few injuries and no midweek games, the team playing decent. The manager has to pick a positive team and get them fired up for this one from the off. We saw a number of times last season where we and I include the fans as well didn't get 'up' for certain games against lesser teams.

Seems dyers ban is tonight and Swansea are sending the young lads to play in the cup match. I'm sure some first teamers must play though which can only be a good thing for us on Saturday.

Its without doubt the biggest game of the season so far

If ever a game screams for Jones it is this one. Anichebe had Tate amd Williams in his pocket last week and he was too strong for the Swans. We need Jones in the lineup with his tail up manhandle g the Jacks back four and of course pressing them high up the pitch.

See Pulis has issued his usual 'RALLYING CALL' to supporters on the club website, and rightly so just now We really should be able to sell this one out with the lower price bracket, and the promise we're showing lately

Dyer suspended, Sinclair gone. The only two players that caused us any problems in last seasons fixtures.
If the Hernandez that turned up at the weekend turns up, I can't see any threat from them at all. If he turns up however, he can be a game winner himself.
Hopefully Chico plays at center half too. He's a liability.

Dyer isn't banned for Sat, they're playing Crawley in the cup mid week.

I'd expect it to be exactly the same as it was on Saturday. I wonder if he might start Owen? Thing is if he did, who would miss out? Im hopeful he will keep it the same. We've played really well and have been unlucky.

Yep same team hopefully mate, nice balance and a revived Whelan and Walters with a strong bench

A definite benchmark game for us, will it see us mixing it up at the bottom with the 'rest of um' or will we mid-table where we should be. I agree with Cobham as to what team Pulis will field. Cameron being a natural defender coupled with his attacking ability that we've seen could make him a brilliant right back. We deffo need to go 4-3-3 though, a midfield 3 of N'Zonzi, Adam & Whelan should be more than up to the task of marshaling our midfield, leaving a front 3 to find a way through Swansea's back four.... But if there was ever a match for a Crouch/Jones partnership with Owen stalking the box... surely this is it?!

Will that team pressurise and score the goals that we must against Swansea ? Im not sure.
I dont think Owen is anywhere near a start yet but personally Id play Pennant instead of Walters (wont happen in a zillion years of course). I also remain to be convinced about Kightly who I dont think is any better than Ethers and not as good as Jermaine.

Think we'll revert back to 442 for this one....
Bego
Cameron Huth Shawcross Wilson
Kightly N'zonzi Whelan/Adam Pennant....well hopefully if we do go 442
Crouch Walters/Owen

I think Adam will start more at home than away. He's tough in the tackle and will get away with it more at home

My team would be
Bego
Cameron Huth Shawcross Wilson
Kites Nzonzi Adam Ethers
Walters Crouch
Bring Owen on after 60 mins and push Walters on the wing

I would expect 2 wingers at home against Swansea - so probably we'll see 4-4-1-1 with Walters dropping into midfield to provide extra support for Adam & Nzoniz in the middle - meaning Whelan misses out which might seem a bit unfair giving his current form
I reckon the 2 wingers will be Kightly and Ethers with Pennant maybe just makign the bench
If we are level at half-time expect Owen to come on early in the second half as we go to 4-4-2 with Walters going to one of the wings and Kightly coming off
Is that accurate enough?

I think we'll go again although my personal view would be to alter it slightly and have two orthodox wide men playing and maybe let Jon start from the bench.

Same team for me, Walters has played well the last couple of games and would be unfair to drop him after hes finally looking half decent, Owen for me, as yet, has done nothing to deserve a start, so keep him on the bench and give him a chance late on.

Depends if Owen's fit enough or not...
If he's fit, I reckon we'll play with a 4-4-2:
Begovic
Cameron Huth Shawcross Wilson
Walters Whelan/Adam N'Zonzi Kightly
Crouch Owen
If he isn't fit, we'll probably use the 4-5-1 again:
Begovic
Cameron Huth Shawcross Wilson
Walters Adam Whelan N'Zonzi Kightly
Crouch

But its likley to be the same as Chelsea. I just hope he loads the bench with forwards, certainly Owen Jones and Pennant should be there.

I would pick the same team also.
Remember the team had the whole of last week to work on things, plus the whole of this week to work on things.

I think he will go for the same team. This should be game where Kightly can get forward a bit more after the last couple of difficult games. Not really counting Reading and Wign with regards to Kites as he was still settling in.
My concern is the possibilty of Owen starting either on Saturday or in the future. We are starting to play well and I am happy with Walters start to the season. At this moment I wouldnt really want to drop anyone to accommodate Owen until form dictates we need to. Stick with the five in midfield and lets get some momentum going with a settled side.
Personally I'm dreading a repeat of last season where Tone was desperate to include Woodgate at the expense of Huth and Ryan partnership and would hope that Pulis has learnt from this and will not be desperate to include Owen at the expense of what is shaping up to look a rather useful team and formation.
Nothing against Owen by the way, I'm glad he is onboard.

Same team, same 4-4-1-1.
Will go to 3-5-2 if we need a goal in the second half with Owen on alongside Crouch.
