Because i'm tired
Because i live in the West Midlands and the M5/M6 interchange is a pain in the balls
Because i get bored of watching teams with a budget the equivalent of Peter Crouch's wage bill play better football then us
Because it's bound to go to extra time meaning i won't get home till past midnight
Because i'm disillusioned entirely with it all
Because i'd like this to be an opportunity to look at some of the exciting new talent at the club, but they keep getting flogged or loaned out, so instead i end up watching old men who shouldn't be here getting passed round
Because the club appears to be if not directionless then certainly the management and directors appear to have different vision for the future.
Because the manager plays shit football, and unlike the season ticket i purchase every year, i actually have to pass cash money over to watch this.
But mainly, because i'm tired. In every meaning of the word.

Just one reason I can not go tonight is that I have to be up for work early while living in Preston. Which means setting my alarm for 4.20am this week

I'm 75 years old and as always, I'll be there.
I never miss a Stoke home game unless it's through illness.

With a 270 mile round trip the cost of fuel makes the ticket price irrelevant. Night games have to be against more exciting opposition than Swindon to make me want to pay for the trip and spend the 8 or 9 hours getting there and back. To answer the question - for me - only top opposition or the later stages of the cups is going to get me there. The epitomy of glory hunting. H

Hoping to see some goals- preferably by SCFC: I remember going to Swindon for Kamara's first match in charge - suprisingly enough we had all the attacks and lost 1-0. We have turned that around to some extent - the other side now have all the attacks and we (sometimes) win 1-0. It will also be interesting to see if Jones and Cameron look better than Crouch and Walters (never mind the standard of opposition) - any sort of link up play will be welcome.

I'm not going for once...my car is in the garage in Stoke having failed its MOT on Saturday AM! Being the thick twat that i am, i thought it would be clever to book it in on Saturday before the Arsenal game on Sunday...save getting it done up here by a stranger...
Well and truly bit me on the Arse that one did...i am now in Bradford while my car is 89 miles away! Had to beg a lift up here on Sunday so i could go work today! Taxis all week for me until my diamond of an old man drives it up here and gets the train back. God love him!
I appreciate that little story may have bored you...but i just wanted type something angrily!
Go on Stoke (Hope Di Canio has one of his fits! - funny little man)

Yet you post on the Oatcake three o'clock in the morning, makes sense. I wasn't in work til tomorrow... f*cked up body clock with being a Student... therefore stayed up all night, quite tired now ready for bed by full time.. sorry I MUST do better in the future! Or in other words do one buddy.

Left Londonderry at 10.am, ferry from Larne to Scotland 12.55, drove , across Scotland and down through north of England to arrive in Stoke at 6.45. Just got back home down South to find what I thought was house ransacked. Turns out bird (feathered) fell down chimney, went beserk flying into everything, shitting everywhere before carking it. Been away 3 weeks (nice smelling bird,Bird shit in every room and its now 2 hours into my birthday. Thanks Stoke for disappointing me the most, thanks to Tony Pulis for looking like he couldnt care less as tonights events evolved, thanks to Swindon for being better than us in every Dept apart from the fuck up one, thanks to the excitement for papering over the cracks of a shocking display. Would I bother again under the circumstances? Damn right I would, except this time I might block up the chimney first
