Oh yes...We played on Sunday this week didn't we, rather than the Saturday! I knew you would have some logic behind your post but without you hitting me on the head with it, I couldn't see it for myself! Of those that started on Sunday, I think Pennant will be the only starter tomorrow night.

I expect wholesale across the board changes

if it was at swindon i would have gone as i could get to game and back home in time not to book time off work i only have 1 and a half days holiday left this year and as i have a season ticket i want to keep those for any midweek games we might have when new fixtures are announced in november as i have already used half a day for newcastle game and wont get home til about half twelve and then get up at four good luck to those who do go and i hope you are rewarded with a win

We are away on Saturday though Werrington and it might be too much of a luxury for us to face the mighty Wigan, on their own patch, with two wingers in tow. Pennant will play tomorrow. I'm sure he will, if for no other reason than to prove that he remains in the dog house located right in the naughty corner.

I'm actually looking forward to watching Pulis and Di Canio on the touchline more than I'm looking forward to the match.

when you go to a game you know exactly what to expect. could probably write the match report before you go by just looking at the team sheet

As mentioned on the guess the attendance thread, I am now in Londonderry, I shall be leaving at 9.30 to catch the ferry from Larne to Cairnryan. I shall then sit (in anticipation) as the ferry crosses to Cairnryan, before driving eastwards to get out of Scotland. If things go to plan, I will reach Carlisle by 4.30 and then (pray that I can) make it down the M6 to the Brit to find somewhere (to rip me off) to park, before collecting my ticket (or not if the traffic is...) to probably watch Di Canios lot run rings out of our reserves hoofing it to nobody (like the first team). After 2 hrs trying to find a way out of wherever I can park, I will then spend 3.5 hours driving home to Plumpton...but Stoke are my team and I love them, so I am cacking myself now in anticiaption and will be shaking if i get there. goarrrrrnstoke. FRom 9.30 til at least 1.30 stoke city, for everything else fk off credit card

I'm going, i love going to watch Stoke. And watching lesser teams is still football.
I was hoping for a £10 ticket but i cant grumble at £12 really. Also very happy with the price of the Wigan away tickets!

ok, so maybe naivety, but we have revered the "league Cup" as a major trophy whilst others have let its importance dwindle. Maybe it could be ours again?
