Firstly I will admit TP has always frustrated me and most probably will continue to do so until the day he leaves. Many of the away trips me and my mates travel home and suggest suitable replacements and this morning after reading the Peter Crouch thread (4411 role), has got me thinking who would I replace him with? I asked myself would I be happy if we were to replace TP with Harry Rednapp? I hate to say this, but yes! I would very happy and I'm not Harry's biggest fan. Infact I was more than happy when Roy got the England job over Harry, but I just feel someone like Harry Rednapp would be a breath of fresh air, something we desperately need right now.

For his management ability yes.
For his ability to financially ruin clubs no.
I'll settle on no.

He has more respect in the game, he taught TP all he didn't know and even though he is a dodgy yoth, he's likeable. The fact is though Redknapp would need 100 mill minimum to bring in the players he would need to play the football he plays. No chance

For his management ability yes. For his ability to financially ruin clubs no. I'll settle on no. It wasn't really Harry that ruined these clubs,he just asked for certain players. It was the chairmen and boards that sanctioned the deals that broke the clubs.

Top manager, miles better than Pulis. RAF is right here mate. It would be a great ride with Harry for 2 or 3 years, but the fallout afterwards could be extremely scary. Uncle Peter did try to get Harry for manager before we appointed Lou, so who knows what might happen?

IF we had to have anyone else then I would consider it, but like other posters, he has a history of leaving deficit in his wake. However, as also posted, I think Coates would manage this.
Turn the question on its head, who would you have otherwise? Every other manager has their issues.

I was thinking the same thing whilst at work this morning. It is obvious what pulis has done for the club has been nothing short of brilliant. But at the same time we can't forget how much Coates has thrown at the club to develop us and ultimately promote us. The question is, would other managers have been able to get us into the position we are in now with the same funding....
Putting my tin hat on now and saying that a fair few other managers could have done what pulis has done over the last 6 years. And, I think Harry rednapp would improve us......sorry if that pisses anyone off, just my opinion

Yes I would, I like Harry he's a good manager. But we have TP here at the moment (who has done a brilliant job at Stoke) and he isn't going to go anywhere soon.

No, far to successful for Stoke City fans. Plucky Stoke need to be in their place - we know our expectations don't we Tony?
In other words, I'd have him in a flash.

No - Harry needs loads of money to be successful. At clubs similar to us, West Ham and Southampton he didn't do much. He needs a top 4 club. Conversely TP would be an absolute disaster at a big club. He can't spend big money, we have big transfer fees sitting on our bench week in and week out, money that could have strengthened the team as a whole.

Coates wants Stoke to become self sufficient, that certainly would not happen under Redknapp.

No, not Harry. As much as I actually like him, he wouldn't do any good for us. Were we to get another manager our entire squad and some of the management staff would have to have an entire overhaul. It would be quite an effort to correct our style of play.

I don't know sincerely. Good manager but he spend a lot in players. I think he will left us with big financial trouble (Pompeys).
