I hope Pulis doesn't read this board. If he finds out the kiddies won, and played some football on the way, he will go spare.

Yeah, he had a trial up there and here. From having a look around on Google 'Castle and QPR were interested too. A lad name Colson came on for us too, at first I thought it was a typo because we have a Coulson. But a George Colson plays for the Portsmouth U-21 side, so I'm guessing it was him. Raiding old fishing grounds! Yep he was right in front of us pitch side warming up for a good 10 minutes or so before he came on, didn't really see much of him though has to be said. Musungu was pretty disappointing first half, second half he came into the game a lot more and made some Fuller esque runs from the wing cutting in. Unsure on him though he's a raw talent for sure but he disappeared for large amounts of the game. Must admit it would be interesting to see how some of our u21's would do out on loan that's for sure! Surprised nobody has picked up Dale Eve on loan or inquired more he really does like one for the future! I like Musungu but he does as You say drift in and out and go missing for large periods. But when he's on it, he is great to watch but it doesn't happen as often as You'd like. It would but I don't think many of them would manage to get a league club, so I aren't sure how beneficial it would be. Eve is a funny one, I like him and have done since I first saw him play. A few others on here don't particularly rate him but I think he is getting better. He's only 18 and is still the U-18's 'keeper so has plenty of time to be loaned out.

Agree with you on him he impressed me too especially at the age of 18 he really is only going to get better! Does make you think how tough it is to either make it or break it for the vast majority of young players playing in club academy's up and down the country. When in stark reality there's only really going to be a handful who go onto to make a career out of professional football, and even then they might not ever reach the height's of the Premiership or Championship level mind...

Yup and it's a dog eat dog world too, nowadays though they are provided with an education at the club as they develop and do their coaching badges. So even if they do fail it's a decent base to start from.

;D I'm a rebel, what can I say? Bachmann is the only 'keeper I've seen give away a penalty for missing the ball when attempting to punch it and hitting an opposition player. ;D As for Thompson, I did a quick Twatter seach earlier, there were only a few Portsmouth/Bognor fans tweeting, the jist was he's been shite for us why do Stoke want him? Nothing ventured, nothing gained I guess.

Just signed a lad from Stockport Sports as well haven't we? A bit of a comedown from the hundreds of thousands we started chucking money at to sign youngsters a couple of years ago to meet Tony's dictate of finishing higher up the league. He must have twigged it was being taken from front of the house cash!

Hopefully it'll mean more come through the younger ranks of the academy and we recruit better there. I won't hold my breath though. Did we pay for the Coulson lad who is a current first year do You know? He has already been called for the England U-18's and for us to have a 16 in the England U-18's is most odd.

www.stokecityfc.com/news/article/under-18s-liverpool-away-742811.aspxAn excellent 4-1 win for the U-18's against Liverpool yesterday. If You've got Sky You'll be able to see highlights on LFCTV in the coming week. The U-21's play 'Castle tomorrow down at Clayton Wood at 2. When we played them last time they were really good, Brad Inman tormented, he's now on loan at Crewe. And from looking at his Twatter, Charlie Ward who scored the peno for the U-18's has signed a pro deal with us. He was at Villa at the start of the season.

The U-18's lost to Spurs 3-1. It's the fourth time we've played them this season and we've won two and lost two.

We were away today. And overall we've won the two home games against and lost the two away. When there's a report on either site I'll stick it up.
