Does this mean he'll be playing at the back then, and where has this consensus that he'll be slotted in midfield come from?

Stoke Loud & Proud · Geoff Cameron will not be playing against Reading tomorrow (as I said just over a week ago) because he needs sort his paperwork out in America.

Tone's taken to him, it seems. www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/Stoke-City-Geoff-Cameron-miss-season-opener/story-16726882-detail/story.htmlTony Pulis has revealed that his 27-year-old new signing had to divert from Mexico to America after the game to complete some formalities for his visa application.
“It’s just red tape as far as I can see,” said Pulis, “but it’s deeply disappointing that we don’t have him to choose from.
“He has impressed me in his short time here, both as a person and a player, and I think he did well in his first appearance for us in Germany last week.
“I also understand he did well for America in Mexico, but now he won’t be back in time for Saturday’s game. In fact, we’re not expecting him back here until next Wednesday now.”
It is understood that Cameron has been told to fly to Boston for bio-metric tests to substantiate proof of his identity for the completion of his visa application.

If we hadn't spent 3 weeks haggling over the price, penny pinching as usual, then all of this would have been sorted & Cameron would be eligible to play tomorrow

He seems to have really impressed Pulis. Could be a regular? www.stokecityfc.com/news/article/reading-team-news-317860.aspx“I am disappointed that we couldn’t get Geoff back from America in time, he’s going to be a great player for this club,” explained City’s manager.
“He had a great game for the States in their historic win over Mexico, but now he has to complete a biometrics test as part of his visa application.”

I think the comments after the friendly last week were telling, when he said kightly was very good, and cameron was excellent, then went on to tell us just why Geoff is so good. I know he generally bigs players up but it seems a bit different this time. I think he'll be a regular somewhere in the side definately
