He could be an Astro-nomical signing. And I shall proceed to collect my coat on my way out... He could also be shite, but then again if that is the case....

Defender who likes to PASS the ball out of defence?! What on earth are we going to do with one of those?? ;D Don't worry, he'll soon learn not to play grass cutters or he will be off on loan to Barnsley.

twitter.com/#!/John__Percy Woodgate should give answer this week on whether he accepts contract offer ..An additional bonus of getting Cameron in would hopefully be killing this stone dead - unless Woodgate has no alternatives lined up, and would be desperate enough to re-sign regardless. Unless we are seeing Cameron exclusively, or at least primarily, as a midfield option...

If we do sign this chappie, then Woodgate must be 4th choice centre half? Which means Higgy and Upson must be off? Even so, good for the dressing room an all that, I dont get the Woodgate thing at all

www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/CAM-MAN/story-16451221-detail/story.htmlJonathan Woodgate is also expected to stay at the Britannia Stadium having been offered a new one-year deal. But City could be prepared to let Matthew Upson move on in search of regular first-team football.
Upson is under contract for another 12 months and made a positive impression after signing on a free transfer from West Ham last summer.
Stoke wouldn't release Upson in January to join Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, but they could reconsider in the close season now they have more time to rebuild.

Sunday Times journalist tweeting that we're also interested in ANOTHER 6' 4" USA centre-back, playing in Denmark for Brondby. twitter.com/#!/jnorthcroft Hearing Stoke interested in, yes, another centre half: USA and Brondby player Clarence Goodson.

Interesting that this Goodson bloke gets into the USA team ahead of Cameron.
Strange career, though. If you're any good, you don't normally trundle around minor Scandinavian leagues into your 30s.
Mind you, he is 6' 4" - and that could be the clincher!

We can only hope he's better than Ream, he really did look garbage. And I wish Woodgate would fuck off too, he's just not good enough.

If we're looking to sign Yanks, what the hell is wrong with Michael Bradley? At least he's an orthodox midfielder.

Does he play more for his club as a defender or midfielder? I guess Pulis sees him as a utility player.

Doesn't sound like a footballer to me.
And for that reason, I'm out.

He knows a good centre half so well that he's going to play him in midfield.
